So they're keeping pace with the books, no rushed endings thankfully.
Season 6 = Book 6 which ties up most ends except for the protomolecule storyline and after that there's a 30 year time jump anyway.
It's a good point to pause the show and set it up to come back eventually. There's tons of time I'm sure it will happen.

I wanna watch it. First few eps of season 1 are sooo nice and punisher is so jealous of not being human is super lol. Buuuuut plex puts episode titles in Russian, and I'm very anti Russian letters, so I can only watch it once in a while.

Am I the only one, who thinks this is the weakest season so far? It's slow and the plot doesn't move forward. Marko is a cunt I'd like to slap around, but as an antagonist, he sucks and the actor, well, I refer to my face slap comment...
The Urgency and Mystery are gone, now it just seems to drag forward. At the end of season 4, I really thought "we" would go through the rings, finding out about the builders of the rings etc. or whatever, but instead it's this "let's fling stealth asteroids at earth and... now let's wait for something to happen.
It's just a drag now, imho.

There is no proper protomolecule plot anymore unless the show writers come up with one, so this is all there is. I highly doubt the book author will end the protomolecule storyline properly. Like most scifi and fantasy stories, the start is awesome but there is no proper ending. Ending a story with satisfaction is the most diffcult part of writing IMO.
I still think it's a good scifi show btw, but as with the books after the first three, it's completely different. This Marco storyline was bleh in the books, so they got shit to work with and they're doing their best with it.
This all my opinion.

If it keeps staying close to the books, that's where the storyline is going to be until the end of Season 6. Earth, Mars, Belt. There's not really anything going on beyond the rings until the 7th book.
They're gonna wrap up the Earth-Mars-Belter storyline and it's a pretty good narrative imo but if you're in for protomolecule and alien mystery you will be mostly disappointed.
There will be an anomaly with the rings that's going to play a role in Season 6 but other than that there is nothing. They saved some pretty good stuff for book 7 though, which would have been Season 7

This. For me, these political story arcs are much more interesting than the protomolecule thing, reminds me a bit of the good earlier GoT seasons.

I'm not saying it's bad per se, but season 5 is moving so damn slow. Every episode is basically the same. Amos' Road trip, Naomi's "family troubles", Alex and Roberta "cruising", Holden doing ... something, Camina "hanging in there". Plus a bit of Terran politics. Rinse and repeat.
