NVidia launched a product with features that ...
A) no customer asked for
B) were absolute lackluster at launch in terms of ...
B1) performance
B2) graphics / the difference between ON/OFF
for both features RT and DLSS (1.0).
Literally the Nvidia salesmen failed to "sell" the idea why the new features are "better" to their own customers.
Now they are blaming OTHERS that they're not as "enthusiastic" about their own lackluster features it look another generation of GPUs to make it actually usable (DLSS 2.0)??

Same boat. I was a bit on the fence with which to get but fuck nvidia. Every time AMD comes up with new tech, or becomes partners, whatever, they open source it. They keep it unlocked for all to use. nvidia? Lock it the fuck down! I remember when they bought physx, you could use have an AMD card but use phsx on a secondary nvidia. Then they locked that down and made it so only if you have all nvidia, you were allowed to use physx.
I'm fine with my 1080ti for the time being, I'll wait till Sapphire releases their 6800XT

The Sapphire 6800XT Nitro+ is out. But it's not available anywhere.

BIG NEWS I just received an email from Nvidia apologizing for the previous email and they've now walked everything back. This thing has been a real roller coaster ride for us over the past few days. Ya it'll come back eventually. I didn't know Gigabyte did an Aorus version which I typically like for cards too ( I love my 1080ti Aorus ) so I might go that route. They tend ot have awesome air cooling.
I wonder if Sapphire will do something other than the Nitro? Nitro was usually their lower end cooler design. Wonder if they'll bring back the Tri-X or Vapor-X series? I dunno, I'll wait to care when I can actually buy something rather than drool over it.

Hmm, I'll take it, as it is TS Extreme after all, but I need to get this power limit sorted. Way limited by power these cards, as they clock to hell no problem.
