I couldn't be bothered to choose more retarded comparisons, you see my point. You can always nitpick and compare things which make the other thing look bad, but the way you compare them is stupid.
I don't get it. There's so much wrong with CP 2077, with all the gamebreaking bugs, crashes, quests breaking, graphical glitches, saves disappearing, low performance on high-end PCs, broken console versions and yet most of the people are mad it's not GTA, and instead an action RPG. The "police" didn't react in TW3 either. They killed you in 1-3 hits and left you unconscious on the ground, with no consequences. And yet it's fine there but not fine here? You couldn't even hit civilians in TW3.

RDR2 has barely any RPG elements as well (unless you consider being able to double your health by being shot enough times which lets you survive a whole extra second) . Cyberpunk has a branching story with C&C and a decent zero to hero curve (on higher difficulties anyway).
It saddens me that CDPR get criticised for creating an RPG and not creating another GTA clone.
Other sad thing is the thing they'll probably take from this feedback is to casualise the RPG elements and make their games more "mainstream". |
Just stop it. None of the criticism has anything to do with āarrpeegeeā. Shitty game mechanics, shitty AI, nonexistent AI, buggy crapolaāall of that could have been different in an RPG game just fine. Stop posting āRPGā as an excuse for any of this horseshit. |
Yep, they should have wasted all that effort on all that window dressing from RDR2 and GTA.
Fallout 1 would have been a much better game if you could pet horses I'm sure. |

Immersive fast travel? seriously? Honor system? Wow really important. You do bad stuff you get bad points and based on that you get a slighty different ending. Much wow.
I understand some people are disappointed but this is getting to retarded levels now. Its like i'd give you a sci-fi adventure book to read and you said it isn't good because its not a historical biography. Here's one, RDR2s world is very nice, but the game is boring as hell. It was great the first time when i had to ride 10mins back to my camp from a mission. Wow what a world. When i had to do it the 3rd time i was getting bored, when i had to do it the 10th time i was looking online for a mod that allows fast travel form anywhere. How about the same mission over and over? The rather overdone story? Dutch saying "i've got a plan" for the 200th time and everyone still going along with it?
Look i understand people have different tastes. Some like to ride around a world, pretending they are a cowboy, skinning animals for 10 seconds because that's immersive and then watching NPC's do stuff. I don't like that, im in it for the narrative experience. Of course a believable world helps with that, but most of the stuff on that list i couldn't give a shit about. The narrative in CP is head and shoulders above anything in RDR2.

No, good / bad honor is more advanced than that. it affects prices in shops, loot, unlocks outfits. People's reaction towards you.
Bad honor can make people run in fear etc.
And yeah, the "fast travel" is pretty awesome in RDR 2 for immersion. How important these things are depends on if you care about that stuff or not i would guess? I don't see why you wouldnt want a RPG to be as immersive as possible unless you're just interested in action, which is not why i personally play RPG's.
The funny part is that this is (was) advertised as an immerse RPG while RDR2 certainly was not, still it's way better in that department and without them hyping those parts to insane levels.

I won't argue what really is an RPG, but i have played the vast majority of them. This immersion argument is completely subjective. For me its narrative. How invested i am in the story. Its not if i can have a hair cut, sit down and eat or stores with interactive display shelves (seriously). Does the honor system have any impact on the missions? I don't think so.

Right right, because what is there is so polished and quality, that losing what people actually want in an open world game is understandable.
BTW, modern Fallout games are being criticized for similar issues also. People have evolved, and open world games have evolved. There are minimum standards that such games should adhere to. If they canāt pull it off, they should have even started it. Even if they fix all their bugs, which I donāt believe they will, you still only have a juvenile dildo game, with a shit barren world, retarded AI, terrible shooting mechanics, terrible inventory system, dumber than dumb UBI style side quests and dialog that would make even Uwe Boll blush. But hey, itās Arr Pee Gee. |

After having played it extensively for several days I gotta say quite a few of these points are bullshit and/or not true. 
The game is far from perfect and has some serious issues and tbh it should have been delayed for at least 6 months, ,but whoever came up with this list was severely exaggerating.
