That'd be cool
Could also just pick from a preset depending on your resolution so that people on 1440p don't use Ultra Performance and people on 8k (who?) definitely do.

I bet I can play this game just fine with acceptable, high quality graphics. Installing right now. I also bet there's no way to disable the fucking mouse acceleration.

Yes, there is a crowd density slider in the Gameplay settings menu.
It actually runs pretty good on my PC as well, everything was set to Ultra with Ray Tracing on quality automatically and I'm getting a solid 50 fps with 2080Ti, 9900k and 32 GB ram. If I switch the DLSS to performance, I get close to 80 fps. Can't say much about the game, because I've only played like 2 hours, but I'm enjoying what I'm seeing so far.

Huh. That’s better than I expected too, perhaps the “miracle” patch worked? A 3080 is almost exactly 2x the power of my cruddy 2060 Super, but since I game at 1080p maybe I could eke 60fps on High without RTX, or with minimal RTX and Performance DLSS? Not bad. |
It's a 3080, rendering at 1080p (1440p with DLSS) and getting 70. "Not bad" is not how I'd describe it. |
Oh no doubt, but compared to the benchmarks pre-release that made it look like 3080s were only getting 40-50 range? I’m actually impressed xD

Wow. Performance is amazing. This is the first truly optimised game for pc in years and it feels like it's sucking every bit of power out of your hardware. With other games it always feels if there is something wrong with my rig or that I have to need to upgrade. But the sad fact is that basicaly everyhting AAA ish released nowdays are poor and lazy console ports.
2070 super.1440 p High settings, ultra ray tracing, dlss performance and fps is 50ish. dlss quality dropped fps to 35-45 but even that felt playable like your avarage 60 fps in a ubisoft game, i realy could't notice the difference between dlls qualiity and performance visually. I could tweak some more to get fps above 60 consistent but i don't even bother.
Never thought I could ultra raytracing, with the abose settings I realy expected 20fps. I was amazed it showed 50. And the first locations was indoor and I was like well go outside and watch the slide show, but no, it holds.
But it's even better then the numbers.
50 fps in Cyberpunk is smooth, there are no hiccups, no drops.
Finally
For anyone having issues just tweak your game and leave ultra settings for what it is and yank up dlss.
Minor but wtf like annoyance: WS doesnt work for dialogue, you need to mousewheel or use arrows

Absolute shit performance here.
Corpo, in a room, alone, Medium-High settings, 2560x1080p, 1070Ti, i7 6700k, 56 FPS, 100% GPU usage rendering walls and some lights (latest nVidia driver).
FOV slider is shit, goes only to 100 and even on my ultra-wide display looks nauseating.
Can't walk on PC / mouse/kb, only run like an idiot.
Game looks weird.
Mouse feels weird.
And, btw:
Mostly Positive on Steam atm.
_____
Conclusion:
This is a beta / optimized / still under development game. Unless you've been kissed by fate with a 3xxx videocard, I see no point in buying this.

Yup, this is one great looking game. 2080 Super, the game defaulted to everything on Ultra, and it seemed DLSS on Performance - bit too blurry for my liking even at 1440p.
But the game... the hype is real! I've only just started out, finished the prologue and spoke to Mr T's larger cousin (the voice.. I know I've heard it before...) and the city is utterly glorious. Yes... few bugs; people disappearing before my eyes and a few pathing issues, but on the whole... Much effort has been put into this game, and it shows.
I suspect a 3070/80 will enjoy this game more than a 2000 series card mind. But yes, I'm so far very happy indeed.
Good job CDPR.

Like pure shit.
i7-8700K/1080ti/16GB ram/nvme/1440p
I've got everything on medium and it's struggling to keep 60. It's hovering more at 55. Pure fucking ass. It does look good on even medium so I'll give it that but all the delays and more delays, their "spec requirments" and more delays, this is what they got...? Fucking incompetent.
I'm sure it'll get better with more work now that it's in the wild. Hell it Horizon is probably one of the best looking games and I went from like 45-50 on high all the way up to 90s after all the patching they've done.

edit: oh wait, i didn't read that right. i'm fine with running it on medium, so i guess this is a get?

You have the wrong expecations for this game. This is a bench mark title that sets a new standard, so you have to tweak with older hardware. And medium settings for this game could well be like ultra for another, 50 fps is fine (certainly in this game).
Just appreciate how it looks ignoring the settings. |
Nah, I don't follow the developer apologetic fangirlism. Console developers have been releasing shoddy ass games for years. If you would like to act like that's a standard by all means go for it. Your attitude is how we got here in the first place. You probably try coming up for excuses for microtransactions and stripping games for DLC too.
My expectations are a developer not charging full price for a game, delaying it a dozen times, a game they announced what 8 years ago? To release it in this state. It's lazy.

Thankfully fps doesn't drop in combat, that's not a general rule. But there are some spots where it does drop to ~32 or ~38 for a second or so.
If you can live with random 1 second drops, then buy it. Again, using geforce experience recommended settings, mostly high, mostly ~55 fps.

Holy shit lol.
Can you remember a time when there was such a shitstorm over a game like this of everyone wanting to play it? I remember Fable and Halo being like this just on consoles back in the day. Can't really think of any PC games that caused this much of a stir. Not even Star Citizen.
