Well, one of my co-workers used to do that actually. He bought a PS4 w/out his wife knowing and was playing FIFA when she was sleeping at night. He was actually sitting and playing near her, with the controller under the sheets.
Wife didn't had a good opinion about himself owning a PS4 at ~27-28 years, she considered it a child's device
I’m sure given enough time, developers will optimize their RT algorithms. It’s still too early. You see it with RTX on PC also. Now that consoles have mass market share with HW RT support, let’s hope it finally advances the tech. I fear that many developers will skip it because it requires very fundamental changes to the engine and way of thinking.
Using chiaki remote play I can bypass $ony limitation on Dual sense not working with PS4, most functions works, but the rumble and touch pad not. for now at least, cuz it's more to do with chiaki still work in progress.
I recently acquired a ps5 and wondering how the coil whine is for you?
It's cool that the fan is basically inaudible. Very quiet, but depending on what I play, the coil whine is actually quite loud. Not PS4 Pro jet engine loud (glad that's over with) but noticeable whenever it's completely quiet in game and I have no background noise to drown out the whine.
Worst offender I've played so far is Demon's Souls in performance mode.
That shit is very noticeable.
A lot less so in resolution mode at 30 fps.
Monster Hunter World PS4 version running at 60 it's there but almost not audible.
What about you guys?
Likot Mosuskekim, Woodcutter cancels Sleep: Interrupted by Elephant.
I had no noise issue with my PS4 Pro, never noticed any sound from it. My PS5 DE is a bit noisy, i think it's less noisy then my PC but for sure there's noise coming from my PS5 every time i play a game, only tested Astro and Genshin Impact. My XSX btw is dead silent! I even put my ear close to the top of it and barely can hear it, really good in that regard.

I sit roughly 3 feet away from the PS5 and anytime a game is running (always when on) it is terrible. The only saving grace is provided by my soundbar which when cranked up enough totally masks the sound of the PS5. Anytime I don't put it into rest mode and change inputs, I have to go back and put it in restmode.

So weird some says their PS5 is silent and others like me and users here says it's loud, i mean isn't a product should be the same for everyone? And it's not faulty or something like that...
Nope,
In fact, they have used 2 kinds of fan to produce the first PS5 : one loud and the other one much more quiet
So it's the lottery ! (Personally, I was lucky and got the quiet one )
