So... while the 30x0-series are nigh on impossible to get hold of NVidia release the 3060 Ti (and why release the Ti before the 3060 vanilla?!). They're saturating the market to steal the thunder from AMD due to knowing that AMD's got some good mid-range stuff coming..?

Such a silly paper launch, trying to get pre-orders in for the xmas season even though most people won't get one until sometime next year. Curious about what the performance difference between the 3060 Ti and the 3070 will be with a $100 price difference (well, who the hell knows what the actual sales price will be since we know MSRP means nothing these days). It will really be salt in the eye for the people who shelled out mucho $$$'s for the 2080 Super which is now pretty much obsolete with the 3060 Ti offering similar performance for $399 compared to the MSRP of the 2080 Super FE which was $699.

He paid for it with his soul.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

There is no thunder to steal IMO, most gamers seem to be either Nvidia or AMD. This clusterfuck release was the perfect opportunity for AMD, but nope they had an even worse release.
You can already check the difference between 3060Ti and 3070, there are reviews.

The Gigabyte 3080 Gaming is in, damn it's big. I've never owned something like a 1/2080Ti or Titan, so my first reaction when I saw the card was WTF!?. It's huge and it won't fit in my case with front fan. I hope the Asus will be in soon.

Good, I am also hoping for 16 GB 3070, but I doubt mere 8 GB more will make much differences with the current demands of games.

I grabbed a Gigabyte 3080 Vision OC. Damn it's a beautiful card, no crazy over the top design or RGB, just nice clean white look: https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N3080VISION-OC-10GD#keyfeature

Ran into it by accident as it was the only one I could find, but ended up loving it.
