That looks genuinely amazing..the cyberboner says aw yiss, my old banger says hell no whilst fainting at the titanic thought of computing all that. Come on lil' buddy, one more effort!

I played through a streaming service with the host system running it on a PC with an RTX 3080 GPU, and while it ran buttery smooth performance-wise, there were a ton of bugs. Of course, the version I played is still in development, and the extra time from its latest delay was likely taken to make sure the issues I saw aren’t there at launch, but I had moments where my UI disappeared entirely, important mission dialogue didn’t play, map waypoints wouldn’t work properly, and plenty more. CDPR is obviously aware of these issues, so here’s hoping the extra time it’s taken will be enough to snuff them out.
Oh dear
It'll totally be fixed before launch, it's a beta!
So.. CDPR only let testers play it for about a week before it went gold?
At least we'll have the ISOdemo for our internal testing as well
I did the same with TW3, played the 1.0 version for many hours until I decided to wait for it to get properly patched, then resumed the old playthrough and finally finished it. I eventually bought the game as a thank you only when the GOTY version with all the DLCs was released, as per tradition.
Everyone should go in expecting it to be a dumpster fire of technical abnormalities, otherwise I feel many will be disappointed*
How I expect it to go for most:
(Installing) Here is everything I hoped and hyped myself up it will be!
(After install) Damnit..it's just marginally qualified for what they said it would be. I unrealistically expected more than they said.
As most big game releases, it technically meeting the bottom bar of what they promises, and what you extrapolated those promises to mean are not the same.
While I assume it will be a solid enjoyable game. The in-between the norms reviews based of what people dreamed of what they said the game would be, vs what they actually said the game would be is going to be harsh.
Waiting for the rush of reddit posts of:
Day 1 game launch and some minor optional feature does not work for me on my machine, and my experience is utterly ruined and tainted forever of this game...WE ARE NOT BETA testers! Refund this broken game! Class Action lawsuit, anyone?

I don't get hype. I'm sure it'll be a great game but to expect a complex open world game to have zero bugs or kinks is unrealistic.
seems devs are expected to create an alternative universe fully simulated down to the atoms in order for people to not feel disappointed.
Part of the blame is the lack of transparency during marketing with bullshots and downgrades which I definitely expect this game to suffer from.

Most of their games are a buggy shit show on release. This isn't going to be any different. Then in like, a year we'll get the enhanced edition and all is well in the world.

I expect the level of bugs on launch to be on par on what it is to me was on launch : GTA5 with cyberpunk theme.
Now dont think I am hating the concept, the depth, or canon of the game itself or saying it is a rip off of it (far from it). Just the complexity of a game like this parallels a lot of the same game mechanic and open world hurdles it and its clones did. They are nearly identical technical challenges under the hood.
Now I do sort of get the idea of "Games should release bug free" ideal. But come on, its 2020, and games on this scale are exponentially more complex, code heavy, intricate and mind bogglingly interconnected to itself than what we considered AAA games 20 years ago..and even they had game breaking bugs from time to time. (I could not play Black & White 1 for 2 weeks because I could not click on things when the god/devil asked me the first quest).

Well at least on PC there's a chance we can get relatively timely hotfixes. Spare a thought for the consoletards that not only have a degraded base level experience due to hardware, but also have to wait for their corporate masters to approve a patch before they can get it (meaning they'll be lucky to get more than one a month).
Witcher 3 was very buggy at release. I remember waiting for a couple of weeks before playing. I fully expect the same situation if not worse this time around.
Does it really matter? Any conversation about what exactly an RPG is always ends up going in circles. Just play it. If it's enjoyable, who the fuck cares how other people classify it?
