Standing around doing nothing, yeah. NPC's have idle animations all around in this game, so standing still and not moving at all seems like a bug.

There are a million bugs in this game. Most annoying one, when you're in the boat, press triangle to raid, he blows the horn but nothing happens.

It's actually pretty low on bugs, especially if you compare it to "any other assassin's creed game at release".

I really really wish it had level scaling tho.

Btw, anyone else agrees, that the skill tree is by far the best they ever came up with in any AC game?

I think that's part of the charm, lol. Especially ones you discover, that everything is connected and not separated into melee/ranged/stealth, like in the previous one.

Also, You can fully reset at any time.

better yet, they would even go to sleep in their homes at night. Something Ultima 7 did almost 30 years ago. naively i thought it set a new standard that RPG's and action RPG's would follow...

Yeah, Ubisoft obviously doesn't know how to do that...

Couldn't be a Design decision or something...

It's a mix of laziness and saving performance for better graphics, perhaps more of the later, hard to know.

NPCs doing nothing all day,"is a design decision" Laughing Laughing

even Legion has daily schedules for people, albeit that they go inside the "infinite black doors" when they go "home".

vurt vs. UbiSin

gonna be an interesting matchup

I'd say you have to make an engine from the ground and up that works well for that sort of stuff without taking a big hit. Oblivion was very derpified in the end to combat the performance issues it got due to all the NPC stuff (can be modded back into the game though). It's heavy on the CPU.. probably not very console friendly.

He is talking about day-night cycle routine.

It's never night. Game goes from dawn to dusk.

Npc's do things, they just don't go home it seems. The ones not moving at all seem bugged.

And that's all the energy I will waste on that matter, lol.

No worries guys, soon sin will hit a bug and turn on it, just like he does with every game. It will become a shit game, from a shit developer, "lol". A real opinion.

My reply was to idle animations of the characters.. and yes, i obviously understand that it's a bug when they dont move at all.

No night time is a strange design decision.

But still a design decision. I don't know.

There are things I personally think are worth a discussion and some are not.

Like Leo's constant idiotic troll attempts... I mean, who really even gives a fuck about that clown here anymore?

Add to that npcs not helping you open doors, not helping you open raid coffers, quest npc stuck on boats, flying horses, flying boats, walking on the bottom of the lake instead of swimming, enemy ai that won't react and just sits there etc etc.

Tbh I don't mind I if come across a bug once in a while but for me the raid bugs have been pretty often. Like 4 times out of 10 lol.

I hope they don't take away the

shirt they give you once you leave. Much better than the prisoner outfit because it's not bright white IMO.

Also I feel like the parkour stuff feels less smooth than what I remember from Odyssey. I thought that the shanty collection was annoying enough in previous games, but in this one with the weird ass parkour where it doesn't seem to go where you want it to at times is even more annoying.

Edit: AND IT'S GONE.

Great. Just as I was looking forward to running around in dark northernish clothes, they just yoink it out of your inventory when you finish that arc. Tons of ??? decisions.

Anyone finished the game yet ? I'm close but I finally got bored of it after 40 hours. Last few zones aren't that interesting imho.

I'm getting closer 50 hrs and thinking about stopping. It's just not captivating enough, the grind is real - just move from one area to another, but there doesn't seem to be any real awards anymore, just going through the motions and be done with it. The last AC game I finished was Black Flag and even there I had to force myself... These games are just too long and kind of soulless. Was thinking about going back to Horizon: Zero Dawn, but that game is even worse and feels more empty. Ubisoft+ subscription for this and Legion was a good decision, no way I'm gonna pay full price.
