I've played Valhalla 30+ and Watch Dogs: Legion 40+ hours with Ubisoft+ for 15 euros and it's been a good light fun so far, totally worth it. Valhalla's first couple of hours felt kind of janky and underwhelming, but later when you start exploring the world it's been really enjoyable. I didn't finish Origins and Odyssey because of the grind and ridiculous length and this game seems to be even worse, but it's fine - I hardly finish games these days anyway except RDR 2 and Death Stranding. Sometimes I just want to roam around in free open worlds and Ubisoft games are perfect for that kind of entertainment.

How long did DS take you? Are you the completionist type or do you just get bored of the Ubisoft games eventually?

That's a weird way of asking a question. That's like saying:
Do you eat oranges or you get sick of eating apples?

First Death Stranding playthrough was about 70+ hrs and even then I maxed out maybe only one facility up to 5 stars so I started another playthrough after that to build more roads and other things - play time on Steam shows 154.9 hours now, so obviously that game clicked hard with me. Ubisoft games get boring much faster since you basically see what the game has to offer in 4-5 hrs already - Legion is a perfect example in that. Valhalla has a bit more variety even though you end up doing the same thing over and over again - just fighting and killing and taking over enemy camps etc. I try to do as much as side stuff as possible, but not too much cause I'm more interested in opening up the map and seeing new areas and story elements, but sometimes just moving around and exploring in different worlds like Egypt, Greece or Norway/England is enough for me in these huge AC games.

I can't believe UBI games still don't have day/night schedules for NPCs. It's so silly. Completely immersion-breaking.

That's how it goes when a company has a big following of fanboys.. i bet if you say something about in on e.g the Steam forums people are going to defend it, somehow. No one complains, reviewers doesn't mention it etc, then its not gonna get better.

Game is still great over here.
Btw, I noticed that the difficulty is very much depending on your power level and the zone's power level. As with the previous AC titles, you out level content very quickly. I am now plevel 40, I think and the zones I am in are for plevel 20. In other words, enemies have now become wet socks compared to me. Say what you want, but I think level scaling would make this a better experience. I.e. depending on difficulty, enemies would either always be lower, same or of higher level, making the combat and encounters always as challenging or easy as you want them to be.
I think in Origins they patched that in, hope they will so here too. They can still keep the "min power level" of the zones, but when you're above that level, let scaling kick in.
What is a good thing tho, is that gear has no longer a level, so anything you find is/can be useful no matter what, as long as you use mats to upgrade its quality.

I wonder who in their right mind decided to make the horn the loudest sound in the game known to man.
Got better after turning on the setting to equalise every sound in the game.

Note, if you using Ryzen + NVIDIA card, there is noticeable decrease in fps, next NVIDIA driver should fix that.

Wow, they really went extreme 180 with the complaints about Odyssey's amount of item drops.
So now there's like a dozen or so armor sets, and maybe 2-3 weapons per weapon type.
Which is complete shit.
Sure there's the argument that you can upgrade gear and that will change the looks, but I don't want to upgrade gear because upgrading them makes them look like it's an anime adventure show.
Raven armor so far is the best looking but I can't go to max because then it turns pretty garish with all the gold bling.
Other armor sets are atrocious as well. Mentor is probably the next closest thing, but I have to also not level it to max because it turns to shit aesthetically and I have cloaks hidden because it just looks more fitting to the era without the too synthetic looking cloak.
Anyway, still annoyed that there are no one handed swords we can use. What shouldn't be here is two handed swords because they're like 400-500 years too early. Maybe a rare one that's pretty unwieldy when some smith wondered if longer is better, but there should be less people running around with two handers.
So yeah, armor sets are shit and it's pretty sad because the only reason I play AC is for the historical setting. They should at least stick to at least getting outfits and weapons to be more fitting instead of what we have here where that Hidden One set looks like something out of Irish folklore.
You're even discouraged to mix and match because of the set bonuses that require you to run all 5 pieces.

Afaik, there are 3 greatswords in the entire game. 3. That's it. You can one-hand them with the right perk though.

Yeah, what the hell is going on with armor in this game? I'm 25% into it and own only 3 armor sets so far. The weapon menu is fine and it looks full, but there's nothing to wear anymore. There are armor icons on the map, but most of that stuff turns out to be some crappy weapon, shield or face mask.
Also, the story is just a horrible crap - compared to RDR2 this looks like it was written by a 12 year old. Especially when you're playing as female and start to have relationship options with both genders - it happens so fast and looks so forced and lazy, it's just so laughable. The main character is some kind of idiot killing and slaving away while helping others, but there's no real depth behind it. Horrible shite after playing 40+ hrs...

I went abit from the base and found one of those unsyncronized places...now that was a boring as hell. Turned what was that all about using rays and climbing into the sky?
I so wish you could just remove parts where you swap to the scientists in this game. The game itself is fun until you have to play some futuristic bitch.
Also, it was bugged. I could not get passed that syncronized shit. After I fell once, the rays flipped out and could not be moved again. (Or is that how it is supposed to be? Cos i could not get out of it without loading).
Edit: I really hate the fact that there are no shortswords.
shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.
