USA Release, seems a bit strange that 2 releases have this issue, and CTR works fine.. Weird Razz

Try making a new UMD_DATA.BIN using this

Code:
ULUS-10068|06B7CAAD47576766|0001|G             |
I'm not sure if that will work as i've had to use another 16byte hex key from another game but you can give it a go if you want. If anyone has a UMD_DATA.BIN (Any ver) of this game PM me, Thanks.

Sounds like lightforce have been rushing release's before checking them, Some ISO creator they are using must be ripping out the UMD_DATA.BIN for some reason.

i heard someone had a similar problem when they dumped GTA. the full game was there, but the UMD_DATA.BIN was missing.

You had to use Aeneas decrypter for megaman.

Ok i don't understand anything of what i'm suposed to do to get megaman to work.
Here's what i did already:
Extracted the iso, put the 2 prx folders (module and module_a) in the folder "decrypt" in the root of the psp and ran decryptprx program, copied the decrypted prx files from the decrypt folder back to the unpacked iso, and rebuild the iso.
copied the iso from my hard drive to f:\ISO.

I start UMD emu 0.8c, select the megaman iso, and it just hangs...

any help? it's suposed to boot back up and then i start mph loader 1.0 to play the game, but doesn't go.

thx

edit: never mind (for now): had to select system menu in umdemu.

rename em to what? they still had the prx extension.

ok now i get that UMD emu puts me back in the main menu, there i select MPH2.0 loader, but then it just says "loading game..." and after a couple of minutes it goes off...
am i doing something wrong?

rename then to take off the DCR extension. Is your windows not showing file extensions?

yes it is Smile but they keep the prx extension. just ran the decrfypter again and it says "Not a PRX encypted file" on every file i put in my decrypt folder. which might explain why i don't have dcr files.
i'm completely lost with this prx thingy :s

you are using DecryptPRX 1.0.2 aren't you? the new one that's compatible with megaman prx's.
And your prx's aren't already decrypted are they? which release are you using?
All I can suggest is to use Aeneas decrypter instead.

thanks guys. i'm recreating the iso as we speak, i think i did someting wrong there too previously, the root of my iso was no PSP, but was folder\PSP. which off course causes the program to not launch the iso.
and indead aeneas decrypter can decrypt the megaman files, but the cecryptprx 1.0.2 can't, although it says it now can.
i'll get back to you as soon as i tried the newly compiled iso.

EDIT: YOU GUYS ROCK Very Happy finally got it to work and i know how now so i'll be able to do it for other games too. just hope they're gonna find a way to make Exit work Smile

Hmm thats a good idea. Where are the music files located. I want to do the same thing to make the ISO smaller. I dont even listen to the radio stations.

GUYS PLEASE READ

From now on no posting of PRX files, as they are copywritten material and are PART of a game release, some of which being actual game content. I'll edit out the current information directing to the actual files.

In future please simply write a detailed explaination as to how they can be decrypted Smile! Thanks for your understanding.

Yeah i did the 10 minute time patch, not sure why MPH even bothered in the first place. Seems like a ploy just to get hits on the site.

No 2.5 or above games will work yet except megaman since thats using 2.0 trial prx files. Also interestingly pinball doesnt work either. I had a discussion with some people before, and we think the cause may be down to libdnas.prx which was brought in with the 2.0 firmware. Certain games call this file, then they freeze right away. It seems to be calling data in a similar method to PS2 DNAS from the umd, which could cause a problem.

I had an epiphany while helping people on MPH's forum.. the post is below:

In the assumption the firmware has been modified between 2.0 / 2.5 / 2.6 with reguards to loading games, then technically the only real thing that would need changing is an addition to the software (Loader) which would allow you to select differing firmware's to load before you load the game.

We could simply be experiencing issues because our firmware is being shown as "2.0" rather than "2.5" or greater.. A fix for this issue would be to add firmware number emulation (haha, badly worded, but you get the idea) so that loading games from the loader would cause the games to think its higher firmware.. Very Happy

I don't think that's the case, SOCOM run's on 2.00 , But when you load it with MPH Loader it won't work save issue's / video issue's etc..

So its not like if this game is 2.00 it will work, More of a case if the game has required decrypted PRX's used to work with MPH Loader it will load.

For example, I'm sure Megaman is 2.50? , Yet it runs perfect. I've not looked at the source (because its not released Sad ) but my guess is it works because it uses the required PRX's.

I'll look into that tomorrow once i'm more awake Smile

Nope, However i know this may not sound like the best fix of all time but you can replace radio station's with songs by converting your music to .AT3

For example you make a file , join loads of songs together then save it as HEAD.AT3

Goto your ISO, replace head.at3 with you new one you made when in GTA:LCS, All you would then need to do is tune into Head Radio to listen to your custom songs.

You would need things like the ATRAC3 codec and goldwave do this.

Nope, The sims 2 is a harder one to crack.. Uses a big .bin inside the ISO Dir instead of normal PSP files.
