Ultra 
Judging by the nonsense that Ultra was in Odyssey, it means nothing. The game goes to console level graphics, and then it's only diminishing results at best. Same here. Set it to XSX levels (which runs it at 4K60) and it will fly on 3070 even.

I do think devs are pushing hardware to much for very little visual gain.
I've bought a new rig last year. In the past, a new system gave me omfg wow why didn't I upgrade earlier kinda feel with amazing quality of graphics and solid framerate. My current rig just feels meh from the start altough it was the most expensive rig i've ever bought for about 1500 euro's. Visually there is little improvement over my 5 year old rig and maxing out settings isn't an option at 4k, hell, using a lower res needs downgrading at times. Part of it is just a matter of not using 4k though, but I just wasn't impressed what my system could do for the money spend.
And then this: with a 900 euro GPU you can't max out a game. This kinda kills pc gaming imho.

I bet. But it won't be much of it since i think they've realized more and more that no one really wants it. If we're lucky it might just be in the intro.

No, not a single AAA game will run at max settings at release these days even with the best hardware. IMHO a console port for previous generation console should run at 120fps max settings in 4k with ultra settings. If that isn't possible devs should optimise or downgrade the game.
