A peripheral company selling custom PS5 faceplates has been forced to cancel all its orders and pull the products from sale, following reported legal action from Sony.
Sony confirms the PS5 won’t support SSD storage expansion at launch.
‘This is reserved for a future update’
While the PS5 features a dedicated internal slot that can theoretically fit standard stick-shaped M.2 SSDs and an easy way to access it, the slot will apparently be disabled out of the box.
if Sony hadn't done this, how many muppets would have put any old SSD in there and then cried to Sony and the internet when their console stopped working correctly. In the long run, having more choice over the SSD over the proprietary crap of MS is far better.
And spiderman/demons souls vs no games at all? haha if that's a shitshow then I feel sorry for ya, because I can't wait

PS4 games redeemed from the PlayStation Plus Collection and played on the PS5 console will see benefits such as increased loading speed and improved or more stable framerates with PS5’s Game Boost
soooo some kind of higher performance for bloodborne confirmed.
still my biggest question for PS5. How does bloodborne run?!
Likot Mosuskekim, Woodcutter cancels Sleep: Interrupted by Elephant.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Um, wasn't PS5's SSD (fastest ever ) one of the main selling point of the console?
For new games, yes. Spider-Man Miles Morales loads in literally two seconds.
(2:00 in)
As Jason Schreier said in a tweet below, it's been obvious for years that the people running Xbox care far more about backwards compatibility than the people running PlayStation do.
Also @ buying a new console for playing hot new gaemez like Batman Arkham Knight from 2015.
Sucker Punch's impressive Ghost of Tsushima now runs nigh-on flawlessly at 60 frames per second on PlayStation 5 - and it's simply brilliant. Equally as transformative is the PS5 patch for Bend Studio's Days Gone: again, it's a beautifully slick 60 frames per second. Surely it's only a matter of time before The Last of Us Part 2 sees a similar upgrade?
I have no illusions of "killer features" or "killer gaemz". It's the fantards that are pushing these consoles as "revolutionary" or "innovative".
Not one "next gen" game has shown something that is a real jump from previous gen graphics or game design. Oh wow amazomgz, gaemz load in 15 seconds instead of 40. Revoluzionz.
So far, any new console generation has been a major jump in graphics. As a PC gamer, that too was laughable, but at least for console-only players, they got a major jump. This is nowhere to be seen this time.

Early days...
Your ridicule is maybe warranted for now, but I would suggest waiting for a first wave of truly (and exclusively) next gen titles from Sony.
I think that people like headshot, who don't have any other platform to game on other than the PS4, in order to keep in check with what's supposed to be actual or "nextgen" tech, getting the PS5 at this stage is okay.
For the rest of us, who still rely on the mighty PCs, might not jump this hype train with both legs, yet.
I sold my PS4 half an year ago and all my physical copies of the exclusive titles ( some ended up being released on PC in the meantime ), in anticipation of PS5 release.
But after seeing what titles they brought to the table, I find 0 interest in sharing my monies with Sony at this point. Demon Souls alone won't cut it, neither will an extension of the Spider Man, was never a fan of the Miles story in the first place.
I don't care about the bells and whistles they pump about the performance, because I already scratch the performance need with the PC, the sole reason I buy a console is to take a bite of the exclusive titles.
Once a new iteration, DLC, or w/ever they release for God of War, a PS5 version of TLOU2, that's when I will consider buying this. Apparently we won't kiss an official remaster of Bloodborne anytime soon ..

You mean to say you're not excited about Bugsnax???
The way i see it you should consider the price you're paying for what you get.. for $400 (DE PS5)-$500 you get a system that has something like 2080 GPU, 16 GB RAM, somthing like 3700X CPU, 650 GB SSD, new controller and the rest of the hardware,
i mean what do you expect to get at this price and hardware? My expectiosions before i ordered and after the reviews/previews etc are the same.
I didn't even think the XSX and PS5 will do 4K 60fps, it just not possible as you can see on the same hardware on PC. Do i think it's somthing amazing? no, it's just a better PlayStation and Xbox, thats it.
so yeah.. better loading (after more then 1 minute after fast traveling on Witcher 3 i think that good improvement ) better graphics, new games someday
I think you get the point... if you liked consoles before then by all means you get a better one that will play all your previous and new games faster and better... and if you have a good PC and can live your life without playing God of War then yeah i can understand.
i also have things i dislike about both new consoles, like some of their design, some games not offering a 60fps mode.. some things don't affect me but i can understand the letdown of some about not having things like more storage or lack of games.
btw i saw some comments and it seems that usually on console launch there are little to play, but i do agree that there aren't many cool games to play, for me haven't play TLoU2 and Ghost of Tsushima, thats 2 more games to play for the first year.
tbh i can't wait for my pre-orders to fucking arrive, i really excited.
For me I’m getting a PS5 for the controller. If it’s as good as I’ve read, then it’ll be the most next gen feature out of everything.
Also, I never played TLOU2, Spider-Man or Fall Guys. So there are three top games waiting for me from the get go. And I think my kid will like Astro and bugswhatever.
Shame to hear PS5 doesn’t have VRR though- that was a surprise!
