I want big maps, at least 64vs 64 with a lot of vehicles. And game modes that make sense.
I still think Conquest is the biggest shit ever. I want a proper front like mode, where you have like several flags in a line which each can be pushed back and forth, but on several places, not that tug of war bs they have now.
BF1 had Grand Campaigns, where you had at least an illusion of a frontline moving, yes. They still have it in BF2, except the maps are freaking small, it's not fun.
In BF1, some of the maps were really huge and trenches and the destruction really made it more "realistic", as loosely a term as one can use that word within the realm of Battlefield and MP shooters in general
Some of the later maps in BFV, like the pacific ones, were a step in the right direction, but all the base maps before failed so hard, you just can't excuse that.
And now they added a mod, that basically turns any map into a metro map... (3 flags, 1 way)
They should add mods, where you can win "other than by ticket bleed", like properly win. Like a map with 2 HQ bases and like 6 flags in between. Capture all 6 flags and the enemy HQ becomes attackable. Capture it and you won, period. Defenders can capture like 3 flags and your HQ becomes unattackable again... Tug of wars ish yes, but in the proper dimensions
Most of the maps in BFV are like COD style run around in circles bs...
even if this was a good game i still wouldnt play it, just tired of the same old battlefield formula and same engine, people say cod got old but this is still the same shit mostly
with next gen the next game better be some groundbreaking shit
I just realized, what I missed most in BFV, and to a lesser extent in BF1, is "historically accurate battlefields/maps. And I am not talking Men or women, I don't give a fuck about that, but having the battles in their proper place in time with only the material of that time.
Like "Battle for Poland" with only Panzer 1-3 and some captured t38's etc. AT-36 guns etc. Germans with their Karabiner 98K, MG34, etc, etc and whatever equivalent the Poles had.
And have like real campaigns, like the Grand Campaign, just a tad bigger. With logistics!
WW2 was mostly won and lost, because of logistics. So that's what we need in a game like this. Not just tanks having to go back and forth, but have like a logistical line that creeps behind the front line and which you can sabotage or attack with "special units" or planes.
There are so many things that you could do, especially if they would increase the fucking player limit already. Even 128 players would make such a difference.
With a General, who can ell which squads to go where and do what?
Who can launch e.g. bots (acting like partisans etc) into the back of the enemy to sabotage logistics etc. and has control over Artillery and logistic (supply drops for example).
So much fucking potential.
Or capture points, get fucking rid of the flags, and introduce "capture areas". I.e. for example have a small area instead of a flag and as long as there are enemies inside it, you can't "capture" it. And add a minimal amount of soldiers needed to different points, like 2 for a far-out barn or something, but like 5 for a village, etc.
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
So, as a parting gift, DICE saw it fit to add Tom Cruise to Battlefield?
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Jackfrags also had countdown ticking in his last BFV video. Hopefully we will see some announceent.

DICE is creating our next Battlefield game with never-before-seen scale. The technical advancements of the new consoles are allowing the team to deliver on a true next-gen vision for the franchise. We have hands-on play testing underway internally, and the team’s been getting very positive feedback on the game as we’ve begun to engage our community.
The next Battlefield is set to launch in holiday 2021, and we are excited to share a lot more about the game in the spring.

If I'm not mistaken, there were red dot and reflex sights in Battlefield 1 as well. They need that carrot on a stick to keep the players grinding because gameplay loop ain't good enough.
