I know I have asked this question before but I think it was with a different game on Steam and not with UPlay. But when using a VPN to unlock a UPlay game for a local time elsewhere, do you have to stay on the VPN to play or can you disconnect and play in your timezone? Wondering since I'm trying out this Ubisoft + sub for the first time.
Powerful anti-fascist and hopeful message about unity and perseverance in the face of adversity
Fantastic hacking and recruitment gameplay that rewards flexibility and curiosity
Fun operatives that offer some needed comic relief, but also make for interesting playable characters in the ope world
Well-realized London that shows off a diverse culture and art scene
The Bad
Overall game structure can be somewhat inconsistent, which doesn't do enough to highlight its main story and the sense of urgency
Repetitive missions and characters that often have you revisit locations and objectives on a repeated basis
The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Compared to the first two entries, Legion is a massive step backward, both in terms of story and execution. This is paint-by-numbers Ubisoft on autopilot.
There’s some fun to be had in Watch Dogs Legion, but it becomes so repetitive that by the end of the game everything feels like a chore — one I was desperately wanting to be over hours before its credits rolled.
The gameplay is too repetitive and too restrictive to allow for anything tremendously exciting over a long period of time. It's a game that shows all of its tricks within the first few hours and leaves you with nothing but jank for the remainder of your playthrough.
The hacking and stealth infiltrations haven't changed a bit, and with repetitive mission design and numerous technical issues, this latest chapter finds DedSec in an identity crisis.
However, along with the dynamic and detailed world, the game suffers from weakness in the design of the stages and unfortunately becomes repetitive and boring over time.

ok, with Ubisoft + and exit the game, you do go back to Pre-Loaded if you disconnect your VPN. If you disconnect while in game, it looks like you also get kicked out and go back to pre-loaded if it hasn't been released in your timezone.

sounds like by the numbers Ubisfot the game
I wouldnt be so quick to make judgement based on these retarded journos. Keep in mind these scores arent the usual homogenous articles we usually get. We have reviews that go from near 100 to 50's. There are a lot of 80's and above. And there are a bunch of 60's.
This makes it a polarizing game, not easily dismised based on average scores. Also remember this is a Clint Hocking game. His focus is on emergent gameplay and letting the player make his own path and the designers hand to be as little involved as possible. You can see this aproach in Splinter Cell 1 where you're being stealthy in building hallways versus Chaos Theory's open level aproach, that takes its cues from Thief's design philosophy.
This aproach to gamedesign will never go well with every journo when you consider most of them are gushing over cinematic ultra scripted experiences. Im more inclined to think that because they were left completely free in the gameworld and were not told what to do at every step they didnt experiment with anything and they were doing the same basic things over and over. Then proceeded to write article calling the game repetitive.
I caved it and got "Ubisoft+", so I'm currently downloading the game and will check it out. I'm not interested in the new AC so 15 EUR for Watch Dogs sounds okay in my book.
