CDPR is insanely woke (or at least woke friendly) these days.
It really shows that nothing you do will ever satisfy these idiots.
That's the thing about these Resetera people, they don't have an actual end game or a definitive goal.
Whatever step "forward" (forward being whatever they want at the moment) they manage to instill in companies and people just makes way for the next step they want.
That's why I detest what they do.
I'm not necessarily against the inclusion of themes we don't usually see in games, as long as it's done well and not in an obviously agenda driven way. And as long as it we're not also removing other themes, character types and concepts.
But I don't like this idea that a large majority of Resetera has where you can't have artistic freedom.
I don't have to agree with the motivations of the character I'm playing or feel like the world I'm playing in is representative of what I want the world to be to enjoy it.
Yep, I don't have an issue with woke themes as such, more forced inclusion done on an "include it or else" type threat. I think people should be as free to make games about straight white space marines as they should about LGBTQ (or whatever 90 identities we're up to now) characters.
I don't think a lack of diversity is a valid criticism of a game.
Also their perfect game could never exist. The very nature of the sort of inclusion they seek means that one group seeking inclusion is always going to get less priority than another.
I hope they make a similar movie about a female F1 team. Misfits with no money, but they pool together their engineering and hand-eye coordination skills to outperform evul Red Bull and the nazi Max Verstappen.
