So the message I got from that video is that Crytek still don't trust current consoles to run Crysis 1, so they've downgraded it heavily. Instead of an aggressive downgrade to make it work, they've just baked the downgrade into everything the engine handles.
Who in their right mind would base a remaster on a PS3/X360 version of a game?
And then make it (basically) CPU single core heavy? Boggles my mind that you cannot run this game with everything on high (or even above that) due to CPU limitation instead of GPU.

Wait, they removed the VTOL fly mission?!
Too gpu intensive, cards would blow up.
I think that level was also missing on consoles back then, so that is probably why.

Anyone have issues running this? Copied crack, but nothing launches. Ran both the setup executable as well as the crack folder through VT/Malwarebyes/Windows Defender - all clean. Was this release nuked by chance?
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

Apparently it has to do with thread-count. Must disable HT or SMT if on a 16 thread setup (or limit it artificially to less than 16 threads) to get the yarred version to launch properly. Not going to bother.

Cool - but still not worth the hassle for this junk. Learned something new though!
