I think all of these games can be played with PC (on various different emulators), not sure if MGS4 is playable yet.

I totally hate turd based games, but really enjoying The Dungeon Of Naheulbeuk: The Amulet Of Chaos, humor is strong in this one. It reminds me a lot of Divinity Original Sin 1 regarding gameplay.

Fun game, 4 hours in, no random loot, humor is fantastic. My wizard just missed attack and you can hear dwarf telling Wizard: Your magic is shit! Very Happy . Very nice skill tree for each character.

Finished Mafia Definitive and well it wasn't terrible but it had some of the similar flaws Mafia 3 has plus while it expands on the characters in the original the game also rewrites some of these and various quotes not always for the better or fitting the games narrative and themes.

Loss of Free Ride Extreme and some of the side activities over various themed 1930's collectibles means there's less to do after the story and the country side while expanded is almost pointless other than the few missions utilizing a small part of it but it's neat to have even if it's more for achievements and these collectible thingies.

Cigarette cases character portrayals including a few younger ones that will be seen in Mafia 2 and Mafia 3 is a neat one, hidden foxes I think are only for the achievement and the comics and such well it's there. (Playboy I think started in the 1950's so those are nowhere to be found.)

Shooting and driving works fairly well but feels a bit floaty and imprecise and the forced pew-pew auto aim during vehicle combat is ridiculous.

Combat reactions on AI's are again really good but the AI itself is also again really bad and even with the less common checkpoints and limited health refill possibilities via med cabinets that just happen to be around things like takedowns just works against everything and even the earlier pistols do short work of most enemies with a headshot.

Exception being the tommy gun but it's not too terrible balancing a bigger ammo capacity with less video-game-shotgun problems and faster firing rate seen with the rifle.

There's some key binding for a scope but far as I can tell the sniper rifle is one mission only and Tommy even discards the thing all cutscene like by dropping it in overly dramatic fashion after it's used. Razz

Remake itself visually is excellent both for the city areas and countryside plus it runs much better with the lighting engine and improvements since Mafia 3 with the lighting and shadows being a tad flat looking on occasion and very mixed graphics quality even for some of the more featured NPC's or named characters in cutscenes.

As per usual with modern games the full non-rendered cutscenes which the game mixes between frequently do look really good with specific tweaks to lighting and various effects but the game itself is also quite good looking overall while running mostly well.
(A quirk for full-screen mode might attempt to lock it to 60Hz though even on high refresh displays.)

What else can I say to try and avoid spoilers, some of the character rewrites seem to try and avoid some stereotypes only to walk right into others and some of the writing may be a bit weird and more for explaining for the player some plot details and there's all these notes scattered everywhere too further providing info on things.

Characterization also goes a bit too far for some like trying to make Don Salieri seem more unhinged and a bad guy and even the bartender is now some former bad-ass ex mobster hitman.

A nice break while waiting for some patches and wrapping up some other larger backlog projects like Monster Hunter World at least.

Generic black dragon Fatalis pfft.

EDIT: Err so let's see summarizing it well Mafia DE is a good looker but the gameplay has similar flaws to Mafia 3 and the rewrites don't always work too well even if some character expansion is done pretty nicely.
Original with a few mods might be preferred, some inherent 2000's video game jank or clunkiness perhaps but aside from controls I'm thinking it likely holds up quite well.

EDIT: Ukraine, Poland, Czechoslovakia some of the early game studios here were incredibly creative but not always lucky such as with publishers or budget.

Mafia, Stalker, Xenus and others.

And Witcher which really took off with the sequels.
Suppose Stalker somewhat lives with Metro and we'll see how the new sequel turns out.

Vavra's doing Kingdom Come now and Mafia is well I have no idea what a fourth game could be about.

Gacha waifus. Aka. genshi impact.

Actually decent action 'rpg'. A lot of things to level up. So far I've bought only battle pass and still having fun (level 31 - all the way through main quest)

Monster Hunter World's done, Iceborne wasn't bad but the mechanism take a while to get used to and everything has a ton of health even before getting past the halfway point and then after that the end-game and post-launch content.

One hell of a struggle just to have Nergigante eat a chicken.

And then there's Fatalis and the rest...

On to Horizon Zero Dawn.

Some glitch it seems, guessing it's mostly fixed now but it works well as a nice little image even if it's not up with some of the bigger glitches.
(Jackdaw Ascension in Assassin's Creed Black Flag for example.)

Fallout 4
When it released I played some but it didn't hold my attention for long, probably becuase it was a disappointment after New Vegas.

Now I'm at fresh start and have much free time on my hands so I finally can appreciate this game for what it is and I'm really liking it the more I play.

Exploration is where this game shines, the world is huge and detailed and you can easily spend hundreds hours if you want to see everything.

Honestly due to the rewarding exploration I'm enjoying it a lot more than Skyrim.

Sure it's buggy as hell even after all those years as Bethesda's legacy, thankfully nothing gamebreaking.

Started Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales today.

I didn't had time to play it when it came out, so I'm finally able to catch up on my backlog Very Happy

It seems really good so far, I like the story and while surely Gwent has changed since The Witcher 3, I still enjoy it a lot.

Yeah, the alternative Gwent will eventually become a tad repetitive and almost automatized due to the lack of challenge, but the quality writing and characters as per CDPR tradition will make up for that and will keep you hooked till the end Very Happy

Well apart from sight seeing there are some quests you can find, mini stories in written format or audio logs, comic books & bobbleheads with perma buffs, legendary enemies or items and various other loot (even rare junk hunting can be fun thanks to the weapons and armor crafting mechanic).

That's exactly what I thought last night!

After playing for a few hours I started to do things completely automatically, there is not much variety/challenge in the Gwent fights (except for the puzzles, which I really like). Also to mention that I'm playing on the second difficulty out of 3, didn't want to start on the hardest because I was not sure what the new Gwent rules were. But overall the story and characters are great and I will always love decisions in The Witcher games because some of them are really hard, it makes you think, what really is the lesser evil Very Happy

I finished Thronebreaker in Friday, I thought the game was pretty good. I enjoyed the story and the characters a lot, but as I mentioned before there is little to no variety in regards to the Gwent battles. Also the ending felt rushed, I expected at least one more serious battle, but a cutscene just played and the game was over. Laughing

I started playing Shadow Warrior last night, I've never played any of the SW games, so it was time to try the first one from my backlog Razz.

Hades and Halo (currently on the second one) are the main games I play currently.
Here and there I fire up the Anno 1800 or Quake.

On Switch I started BotW, but I can't say that I'm impressed with the game as the majority of people out there.

Sadly the fate of such a masterpiece. It's so long it'll be hard to find time to replay it.
