The Museum of Simulation Technology - Tech Demo for Pillow Castle's First Person Puzzler
Quote:
We're a team of students from Carnegie Mellon University developing a new First Person Puzzle game built around Forced Perspective - here's a demo of the technology at work.
Could be an interesting game if they come up with good puzzles. Reminds me of Peter Molyneux's The Room tech demo.
Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"
deadpoetic-"are you new to the cyberspace?"
Someone had more time and resources to flesh out a concept that was submitted for ludum dare. never happened before!
Or, maybe two people came up with the same idea. Not like that's happened before, either. They could have both just as easily been influenced by the old Kids in the Hall skits.
The perspective mindfuck is strong with this one, half walking sim and half psychedelic puzzle game. It's oddly relaxing and has sparks of brilliance with the transversal thinking, but it's extremely short (took me about ~1 hour to reach the end) and not exactly full-fledged in terms of complexity. Still, a pleasant isoride (literally) for what it is.
Finished it, it was OK, nothing special, half way through it just became nonsense. Wouldn't pay any money for this for sure, it was more a tech demo. Also ran really, really, really poor and very blurry.
