It's not unlikely. MS avoid any studio with chinese involvement after the failed TikTok buyout.
EA doesn't have a chinese involvement. Meanwhile, Ubi was bailed by Tencent's money when Vivendi wanted to swallow them whole. Officially, Tencent has a small participation in Ubi. Unofficially, it seems that the chinese have their claws well in. Activision/Blizzard also have a small Tencent participation, while the rumors are saying that the chinese own a lot more shares through various shell companies and funds.
So this leaves EA from the big ones. Warner gaming studios have their games based on licenses that they do not own (exception being FEAR and MK) and AT&T decided to retire the studios from sale, though they will probably restructured.
From the smaller studios and publishers: THQ Nordic and Paradox look very attractive,as they have quite a few IP's. CD Projekt looks like a good candidate, but i don't think that they will sell right now. Larian on the other hand...might be a good target.
Yeah, a good possibility. But, it's more likely for Sega to get rid of the Western Companies and IP's than sell entirely. The former Eidos owned studios and IP's are not out of the question either (Square' owned for now)
Remember when Disney decided to ask Fox to let them have the rights for SW and Marvel and Fox said no?! Disney basically bought pretty much everything that was relevant as Fox's assets. Sony avoided that by letting Disney use Spidey.
When the megacorps are playing, everyone else is trembling.
MS vs Sony is pretty much the same as Disney vs Fox. MS could bully Sony into the ground if they actually decide to have a war (which wouldn't be even a skirmish)
I also think that one of the things that prevents a"takeover" of Sony, is that it is based in Japan. I am sure they have protections in place to prevent any foreign company taking over their stuff
I forgot (mostly because I was a kid back then) how big the Japanese companies were during the 90's until I watched Married with Children recently (which aired between 1987 and 1996). Almost every episode there was a mention about Japanese cars and almost everything else. They were the "current Chinese" of that period where almost everything came from them, with the exception that it was quality and high-tech. Of course there were Chinese shits too but it was always cheap and bad.
Anyway, to save it's own economy, the US literally cockblocked the sad Asians 20 years ago with the trade war and put them in the corner. Now, as big as Sony is, it's still nothing compared to Microsoft. They only own the console market because MS earned enough from Windows and other stuff. But probably after it became such an vastly increasingly big market for the last 10 years now they want to fully commit to it.

how come nobody is streaming console titles yet
I may be wrong but probably because the consoles aren't powerful enough to stream. Maybe that will change with the next gen. Or Sony and Microsoft have some EULA clause to C&D streaming apps?

This means sharing your microsoft account. That would be a big nono for me tbh. But if you trust that person without a shadow of a doubt, sure, he can just login with your ms credentials.
Of course that person will also have access to any eventual hotmail/live.com emails of yours and maybe those have been set as recovery email for any of your other emails, like google/gmail...

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
