Are there still no new drivers out? Usually we get a big driver update when a new generation of GPUs hits the market. I just got a Geforce Experience update but it still says 452.06 are the current drivers.

If you aren't satisfied with 3080 currently, why order it? If you are satisfied with it, why wouldn't you be when an eventual 3080ti is announced? Will it mysteriously stop working?

Microsoft Flight Simulator, good point!
I was just about to ask what games currently exist that someone would need a 3000 series card for so badly....
...so what other games besides that one? LOL

11 GB, 20 GB, wtf?
After my little adventure with GTX 660 having "192-bit" 2 GB, where 1.5 GB is actually connected via 192-bit bus, while the upper 0.5 GB is 64-bit, I'm not buying Nvidia video card which doesn't have memory and bus expressed in power of two.

Seems legit to me.
So sounds like we'll get the rumored 16gb 3070 and 20gb 3080 and the RTX 3060 will have 8gb and 256-bit bus width.

LOL, you guys will run Flight Sim on a 3000 series and biatch about something with it too.
How many times have we all heard... 'Just wait until the next card comes out' only to be disappointed by some graphics issue or lag?

Flight Sim issue is use of DX11, I don't understand why MS used it.

Because they started developing it before the DX12 spec was finalized, let alone implemented. Then they continued with their existing renderer instead of restarting. The will eventually port it to DX12 Ultimate, with ray tracing.

It's worth whatever people are willing to pay for them, I'm suprised Nvidia priced these cards as low as they did to be honest, they should have add another $400-$500 on the 3080 and dropped the prices on the Big Navi announcement for the pre-derper and fanboi dollars.
There is no way adding 400-500 dollars to the price would have stopped people buying them, so why so low? Maybe because new consoles?

Don't be.

Your wish will most surely be granted.
Some 'new' cards: RTX 3060 Ti, RTX 3070 16GB and RTX 3080 20GB seem to be 'on their way'. You'll have plenty of chances to pay much more for those variants.
Source.

This month, nothing turns out as it seems. On first sight these new deals seem great but then you look closer and its all more fucked up than ever
"Oh these Nvidia cards are so low priced!"
- Naaah, even if scalpers won't get it, expect to pay 100-200€ extra for AIB then another 200+ bucks for the higher VRAM version and we're back to 1000€+ for high end.
"Oh the Oculus Quest 2 is so low priced!"
- Naaaah, not only you give all your sensiitive data to Facebook, for optimal features you need the deluxe strap (40$), extra battery (70$), the link cable (99$) the extra storage space (100$), the better audio (whatever $) yada yada yada. Oh, now it costs even more than the HP G2!
"Wow, the PS5 Digital is so low priced!"
- Naaaaaaah, first party games now cost 80€ and you're stuck with the PSN store! HAHA

Lets hope the imbeciles hacking the consoles release their exploits this time or this will just get worse or stay as bad for consoles.

There are leaked benches with 20% increased performance, now 10%. You can't know what's real or fake though. Considering the 3090 has a bit more memory bandwidth and shader cores, the only major difference on paper is the VRAM. I doubt the difference will be more than 20%. Nvidia always needs to put a crazy priced GPU on the market I guess.
