As Inter said, Wasteland 3. The console version, but I assume it's the same for the PC version. Someone posted it on the Wasteland subreddit.

I found the post in the subreddit. I actually tried to name my character Karen a few moments ago and it worked.

Ah, a humorous troll then. Given the state of the world, it was entirely believable.

By the looks of it, Intelligence is still the most powerful attribute. Nevermind, it seems the extra skill points are a one time bonus this time.

I saw on the Codex thread that INT no longer works like it did in Wasteland 2, so people are considering it a dump stat now.

Sad
Is this, and other information like this, clearly explained in-game?

Yeah the descriptions are fine, as to what "penetration"and other stats do in char creation though, no idea which makes initial playthrough difficult. I'm suprised the quality here is similar to Wasteland 2, (dialed back everything from Ultra not that it looks good to medium) scrolling around the map is so unresponsive 2 second delay between pressing a key, it looks bad graphically etc. I'll give it a few hours.

Camera controls are awful, no option for mouse wheel sensitivity or key scroll sensitivity. There is a setting for edge that no one on a PC in their right mind will use.

Holly shit, you guys are right. I just tried panning with WSAD. It has acceleration and deceleration Laughing

This is another console feature, for controllers - you can see it in Halo or Destiny. The reason for it is so you dont overshoot items and such when trying to sellect them. Since its more difficult to use the sticks to pick up an item thats maybe a few pixels in game if you have a high sensitivity, players use the left stick for movement in order to center said item or whatever. The reason for gradual acceleration when you start the movement is so you have more granular control, so you dont just spring at max speed.

yeah, this is a console game, through and through

I can't remember ever playing an RPG with low INT Very Happy I somehow can't bear it to play the village idiot, even when the game is catered for it, like Disco Elysium. Laughing

The performance in this game though..

press shift at any time to highlight world items = stutter 1fps
hold mouse wheel and rotate more than 10-15 degrees stuttering
zoomed in view walking around town whole screen is gray and low poly = 30-40 fps
That combat grid effect when combat starts = 5fps.

Set at medium preset, 1080p, shadows disabled, reflections disabled, FXAA, GTX 1080

I thought the character creation was a little amusing as when I first looked at it but not reading everything word for word as I saw the first pair mention they are lovers, then the the next group was the gay punk rock lovers and then the 3rd being the old guy and little girl I expected the group to be the underage lovers but then saw it was father and daughter but just their order placement makes me wonder if the devs were having a bit of fun with how everyone is so PC now.

The characters and clothing choices look a lot better then the last game but with all the other nagging little issues I think I will put this on the back burner for a while till they smooth out some of the problems.

Which location are you getting these numbers on? No area seems to change my average so far:

RTX2080 / 9700K / 1440p ~130FPS

GTX1080 / 2700X / 1440p ~105FPS

Both ultra maxed out (TAA instead of FXAA, no CA, no motion blur). The only time the frames take a massive nosedive is if I open the game menu

First town and Daisy quest chain, not seen fps above 60. Setting ultra seems to make no difference. Continuously hitting left shift anywhere < 5fps.

Set ultra (makes no difference), disabling pixel lighting and lowering texture pool size to low 1000 seems to have boosted performance it ranges 45-110 fps. the item overlay still drops it to < 10 though, its playable. Lots of people online saying it stutters a lot even on high end systems.

Outside that the games not bad, the combat is miles better than the W2.

I don't know... second hour of the game you spend running around in your new base... not very entertaining...

Just finished the first mission for Daisy, Gardon of the Gods or whatever and I found it to be both too short and too small.

The whole thing just feels "generic".

The only good thing, really good thing, so far, was the music in some of the fights ^^.

But what I really have an issue with, is how cheap it looks.

Damn Unity loading times.

This is what ruined PoE for me.

I have a 970 EVO Plus - one of the fastest, best SSDs available. Takes 30 seconds to load.

You press shift, framespikes. If you turn camera and the mouse hovers over an item, also framespikes.

Also looks like 2012 with 2015 lighting.

In unity you either go for heavily stylized or just drop the engine. It is really a shit engine.
