You can pre order from steam, play the beta for as long as you want since its a separate product than the game, and dont count in the 2hrs for New World, and refund after. I played for 45mins then refunded

There are two different steam ID's. One for the game and one for beta. You get beta access with pre-order. So he can refund the game and still play the beta.
It's not about the game, it's about him figuring out eventually he's not limited by the 2hour refund time. He can just refund right away and keep playing the beta.
How did you not get what he was saying?  |

I did not have much problems when I was playing on US servers and that was between 100 and 200ms. So yeah, it is playable even the harder mobs where you need to have a bit more precision.
Earlier today the EU server I played on felt fine. Didn't experience lag.

No clue, I only remember the Euro ones being: France, Germany and UK.
As for the US: I don't know specifics but there should be: East and West coast servers.
And for the rest there should also be: South American and Asia pacific servers. But since I don't live in those regions I never looked for any info on the specific locations of them.

The PvE is lackluster, the performance could use some improvements and the game definitely needs arena based PvP and more events.
It's not bad at all, in fact it's actually quite enjoyable and without a doubt the best looking MMO on the market. But this game needs more work.

Aye, while it was a fun game when it was PvP (Alpha)... most of the playerbase just wasn't into that.
What you also saw in alpha was that it started of with a lot of companies and quickly turned into mostly two alliances gobbling up all the other companies up to a point the both of them owned 80% of the map. Not really the system they had envisioned.
The only time I saw random PvP (Base attacks was more structured PvP) was people trying to be cunts towards low levels and even that was not as frequent as in other games. Outside of that and base attacks not much happened. |

Come on... for 20 years now we hear the same shit over and over again...
Every new announced MMO is "the big shit", "The Next WoW/EQ/whatever", "WoW Killer", "best thing since sliced bread".
And I think we can all agree, it never ever happened. 99.9% of mmo's are shit. Eventually.
Some are fun for an hour, some for a week, some even for a month, but sooner rather than later, they become stale/boring/repetitive... or suck to begin with.
It's like watching the videos they make for mobile games and then actually playing that game, lol...
