Anyone of you play the multiplayer side of things? I never have ventured into that and keep with single player side of things. Wondering how it is and if its worthwhile.

Just testing out on my own game here right now, must say its really good the changes done. Think there might be some optimizing needed but only slight, still get really high fps but feels hitching like effect at times. But that might just be due to setting the game to mp mode.

What graphics options are you using? I'm getting a big slow down when I near any city(ish) areas and the games becomes choppy. I will have to experiment with the graphics settings to fine tune the fps.

Yes this is what I have noticed, every biome I have been in BUT the one I just saw which was the burning and ash cloud one has been all the same fps wise as before which was ablet o be at 60 locked or 60-150 no vsync, there seems to be some issue with that burning hot ember are for me now, it drops quite low to 30 there.
Hope its just something that can be fixed up. Otherwise running nicely. I went into some smaller town city sort of area where it was all cobble stone floor and it was fine frame wise 55-60.
Gfx options I am on from memory here now as I am off to bed.
1920x1080 fullscreen mode
vsync on
FXAAIB (or whatever it is Antialiasing )
maxed out texture size
All but one option on the right side are on that is SSAO etc, DOF only one off here.
water on max
reflective surfaces on high
shadow distance high/highest shadow resolution with that
lod 100
fov 82
vew distance 10
I can't recall the others think there were some more for sure, either way just either use the custom settings to high or use ultra and tweak back. There is improvement needed because before alpha 13 I could keep frames where I wanted, but seems a biome or something is causing issues now. As I said before there is some odd hitching feeling when moving at times but that might be the loading of the area which is just running like poo I guess, or its my HD being slow
More fun tomorrow seems a good update anyhow and I still can't get far on my own in this game. Die way often.

Thanks moose!!
I'm thinking the small town I came across was being affected with loading of the biomes. It was across two biomes, regular weather and snow, running between buildings and the subsequent loading of the snow then back to regular was affecting the fps.
I too havent been successful with my characters yet, found a cave system that went under the burning biome area and popped up right next to a couple of the new abandoned buildings, took refuge in there for the night. Next morning as i made a run for a building I spotted in the distance a few buring zombies came after me, made me panic as i had not seen this type before and jumped onto a ledge of the building. Next thing I knew the ledge started to crumble and then I watched as the building started to fall on me crushing me underneath. Next spawn I couldnt even find my supplies, just a half demolished building and a lot of rubble on the point of my previous characters death.

also dont try to fight the zombies 1st day! craft your clothes, and tools and weapons gain some lvl and make it stealth. then find an abandoned house and fortify it, dont try to build your super fortress! |
Never seen any caves
I dig a L shape tunnel if needs be, this does not always work if many zombies are near by. It is luck of the draw where they wander I guess.

Why leave EA and have people expecting quality content and stable performance?

They could leave EA now if they want. There is 100+ hour content, the game is stable running 60Fps on ultra.
But they want:
-more quests
- NPCs
- Rewrite AI and spawning
- relesae modding tools
Full release expected end of 2016

Honestly unless something has changed in the very recent releases the gameplay is quite poor.
I could list many reasons but one of the most important being fun, its not that hard to find somewhere safe to defend yourself and and a soon as that happens the infected are no challenge.

I have 300+ hours in this, counting only after i bought it. Some guys have 3000+ hours. I think the fun factor is there.

When was the last time you played? Even before this update there was a fair change to the game/ui/ etc
It was solid on frames and looked great, played very well and was not easy. I never wanted to touch it when it was first knocking about it looked bad, felt bad, performance was bad. I felt they had redeemed themselves.

People have the same in DayZ...
I'm not saying you can't get enjoyment out of it, I just think its not good enough to be released yet.
I last played 13/12/2015

Bought this millenniums ago.... Good to see they making progress but damn, I just checked, and first release was 7 years ago... This game, Project Zomboid and Star Citizen will still be in Beta after 40 years... At least the first 2 have much more playable content so far.
But somehow I can't get into 7 Days to Die. Tried few times and I think the longest playthroigh was 10 hours. I like zombie games and this seems like a nice one but dunno. Maybe the atmosphere is too depressing and barren for my taste. I also could never finish any Dead Rising game as well. On the other hand I loved Dead Island, Dying Light, L4D and State of Decay.
