yes, was released in feb and origins in oct. 3 years ago this type of grind game wasnt that overdone, origins still received praised, then came odyssey, far cry 5 etc. then people start to fed up.

if this was a new game now you can criticise fanboy left and right, or better yet if the new game will be the same.

will play and see, even if its grindy rest still looks very good

It could be running much better, at least on NVIDIA cards, if they include DLSS 2.0 support Rolling Eyes

Apparently Virtuos did the PC port. They don't have the best track record.

isnt Virtous the "We can port everything to switch" team?

Also Death Stranding was/is mostly a bare wasteland, not much in terms of objects killing the performance, I even think that the grass didn't have shadows which was noticeable at some points. This will be a whole different story with a world full of a lot of stuff do to and see.

I was getting constant 144 fps in Death Stranding, I doubt it will be the case here Laughing.

With what system en settings? And with dlss on?

Yup, DLSS was on, i9 9900K, RTX 2080Ti and 32 gigs of ram on 2560x1440.

On paper it sounds that i should have 144 fps in every game with this configuration, but it doesnt quite work like that , so I was pleasantly surprised Laughing

No.

DS is superior in many ways to this.

For me.

Yea but it clearly didn't need it nearly as much as HZD does.

I mean I always prefer DLSS over TAA but the performance boost is of more relevance

No idea. What I wrote applies to the UK, so people from different time zones can compare notes. Razz

But since it's not counting down to midnight, I'd assume it's worldwide.

No matter how serious the critique might be, that special "Amazing" term will still engage most players into the possibility of buying the game.

No YT channel that wants to proper will want to get on the bad side of the developers / publishers.

They are obviously shilling a bit, they do it all the time. But this doesn't mean it shouldn't bother me.

It's probably an engine problem. I had major stutters in Derp Stranding, especially in some of the cinematics.

You know what, I am willing to give much more leeway to new engines that come at the turn of a generation, something like Assassins Creed Unity or Batman Arkham Knight, where a new technology is just coming out (in those cases, PBR—an entirely new content and rendering pipeline at the time). This just has no excuse. It's a shitty PS4 game that's three fucking years old already. Just inexcusable.

I was going to say it might be a bad Denuvo Implementation but that aint even in the Review builds... i fear the released game will be even worse.

People need to stop blaming Denuvo. Just stop. There has not been a single case where Denuvo has caused any serious performance issues; it's always placebo when the crack comes and people find sudden "ZOMG MÆH PÆRFORMÆNCE" nonsense, where the crack runs 0.014% faster and uses 25MB less RAM.
