Are you running a NTSC xbox, if so try forcing it to run in PAL. There have been quite a few games lately that DDE when run in the wrong region. |
Running on a PAL Box, had no problems with races without qualification, will try to find out if there a more situations where game crashes. Thx anyway!

Oh, I never tried qualification.
Anyway looks like we will have to wait to see if any the groups can get past this apparent new protection; it's starting to look that way.
I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

No the original is fine.... just had the exact same problem with my rip as MRN.
Interestingly if you play the backup and then try the original dvd it says the game save is corrupt.

Isnt there an NTSC scene release of this game? It was released yesterday in America according to the gamefaqs.com release schedule.
May the NFOrce be with you always.

Thats what I'm waiting for, if there is a new protection and we don't get a working new release, then this could be the begining of the end of the xbox scene.
I'm secretly hoping that this will all sound silly with a release emerging within minutes of this post.

There's probably around about a years worth of releases to come on the xbox. If by some chance this protection is not cracked and becomes widely used then the end could come by summer.

what a stupid comment have u actually seen the amount of releases due in 2006 for xbox?? yes evntually it will be fazed out but it has a few years yet me thinks.
As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

wonder why they implemented a new protection scheme this late in the game? Either its taken this long to develop or some other rationale is at play

the ntsc is out for a few days now and still no release its looking bad here , it looks like one of the groups is actually gonna have to dare i say it 'crack' this to getting it working instead of just posting an iso, so that may be why the delay , there arent many groups that crack anything these days on the xbox. gonna buy the origanal today as it could be sometime coming. of course if it never comes then expect all games to have this save game protection. strange they did not implement it on the ps2 version.

Someones got it running and off the HD too at Xboxscene ... http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=492703&st=15#
Only prob is you need a large HD and an NKpatcher setup Xbox and an original disc to make the correct 6.xxGB ISO (or if one becomes available on the net)
