It would be helpful if you wrote your system specs and the exact steps you took while trying to bypass prot. (those who managed to start the game as well as those who didn't)

My specs: AMD XP 3000, Abit NF7, 1gb 300MHz RAM, DVD RW, CD RW both unplugged, tried Alcohol and DTools 4.03, no success.

Hi all,
For those who can't run the thing, maybe you can try with the last update (v1.12):
ftp://files.lockon.ru/english/downloads/LO_Flaming_Cliffs_Patch_1.12_EngCD.exe

how many cd/dvd drives do you have? what letters? I read somewhere that the virtual drive must be named following the HDD (c, d, etc).

Then try with your virtual drive named E (with the others unplugged).

try this: qouted by lequack on protection bitchin' forums here

1. If you have DAEMON Tools installed on your PC, uninstall it.
2. Shutdown your PC and unplug all CD/DVD drives.
3. Boot the PC in safe mode , and uninstall every CD/DVD drivers.
4. Reboot in normal mode, always without CD/DVD plugged, and install DAEMON Tools 4.x.
Your virtual drive need to have the letter next to the one of your HDD. (necessary !!)
5. Shutdown the PC again and plug the CD/DVD Drive.
6. Boot the PC and let Windows install the CD/DVD Drive.
7. Mount a sf iso with DAEMON Tools, install and play

Maybe the most important thing is uninstalling DT and the CD/DVD drivers first.

In all honesty is the game that good that would make you go through all that BS? I cant be assed doing all that. I will either
a) wait for it to be cracked or
b) Just not bother, too much messing about for just 1 game

Don't work here! All my other SForce games work.
I've tried all the tools and disconnected the power to my ide drive.
Used Daemon and Alkohol.
Still NOOO GOOOO Sad

I think the game disc have some kind of defect. Then second copy Flaming Cliffs will not be recognized by starforce. Check out this site for more info hXXp://www.star-force.com/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t140.html.

Took a while to release to "the scene" Very Happy
This came back in 2005..

I have purchased this game/sim. Some people complain on the lack of in-depth avionics in LOMAC, which Falcon 4.0 AF reflects much more accurately. But with the imminent release of LOMAC 1.2 "Black Shark", you will get the same amount of in-depth avionics (allegedly) as for the F16 in Falcon 4 AF.. With clickable cockpit-instruments etc. It will also support 6DOF virtual reality (for TrackIR4 and Emagin 3dvisor) But the in-depth avionics will only be for the helicopter "Black Shark" (KA-50 Hokum).

The most important issue most people have with LOMAC is the lack of a dynamic campaign, which Falcon 4 AF has in abundance. I would also prefer to see this.. but perhaps in a future iteration of LOMAC?

Here are some screenshots of LOMAC 1.2 "Black Shark" (Flaming Cliffs is LOMAC 1.1)

Release date is set around March-April 2006 (imminent in other words).
