The originals and the new Tomb Raider have like nothing in common. They're not just different games, but totally different genres.
Which ones are the good ones
If you value satisfying exploration, no handholding and challenging platforming/level design: TR1, 2, 3, and 4 are timeless (5 is rather uninspired, 6 is quite the mess);
If you value satisfying exploration, no handholding and more accessible platforming/level design: Legend, Anniversary, Underworld;
If you value being comfortably handheld though pretty sceneries and shooting galleries whilst solving some puzzle every now and then as a very vague reminder of what used to be: nuTRamboot trilogy
How do you know if games purchased in Argentina are region free or compatible with say the US? Was trying to find this info via Enhanced Steam or Is there Any Deal.
huh, tried the steps on the previous page and it won't let me update the store country even when VPN'd in. Wonder if they patched that
Make sure you are logged out everywhere else (phone, browser, client, other pc's...).
Yeah I am. I removed Steam Guard, logged out of chat and Steam on mobile. Laptop is powered off, and hasn't been on since Sunday. Logged out of the browser too on my main PC.,I am using PrivateVPN and have funds in my wallet.
Been reading around that it's not working for others in the past few days. So a few people did contact support and they are telling people they need to make a purchase with a credit/bank card from the country they are in. I am wondering if that means they want them to add a payment from the country? I doin't know.
Been reading the comments in here but noticing it in other places (i.e. Reddit, Steam lol)
Also someone mentioned that you have to wait 48 hours after your last purchase. Not sure if true but I bought a couple of games last night.
Yeah the more I read the more I see that Valve plugged this changing the store thing due to people preordering Horizon Zero Dawn from the Argentina store prior to a day or two ago. Lots of discussion in here
To those who can do it still, you're lucky. I've tried everything I can think of based on comments here and elsewhere and I can't get it to work. I'll check back in the am to see if anyone has some other words of advice. Thanks for the help so far!

I can't change the store either. Put 25€ into my account, then waited for 3 days and enabled nordvpn, then started steam and tried to change to argentina. Says I should contact steam support. Fuck >:O
Those that are already in the region are probably fine but I wonder if Valve is actually going to start flagging accounts trying to join a new cheap region as it would be simple enough for them if they are indeed trying to cutdown on the region hoppers.

It still works, but VPNs are checked for and Tor isn't working either. You need a real IP address of the country, or find a proxy (some set up by users still work). You can "verify" if your IP works by trying to create a new account with your IP, it'll mention that you're using a VPN/proxy.
Just tried it (protonVPN's Argentina servers are finally up again).
My second account (haven't bought shit on it) which has store location: Sweden. Can't change to Argentina without contacting support. Last client login was Argentina and hadn't touched it during their server maintenance aka 4 days of being logged out.
Created a new account: Store location Argentina. No problem.
Wanted to try and send a gift card to that second account and see if I could force it to Argentina with a purchase... but as far as I know: you shouldn't buy something with a VPN enabled if you want to keep the account.
I had funds in my wallet , moved store to Arg ( For Horizon) then to get my account back to my country, I just purchased a very cheap game (portal 2) with my bank card. i was able to switch back to my country during the buying process.
Just had to make sure i didnt buy ARG game with local bank card. and bank card was used to "get back" to my country.
Hope that helps anyone else stuck in foreign store .
Send gift card (through Steam) from any account (Must be friends) to the one you want in Argentina.
*log out Steam everywhere else*
*start up vpn* (set to Argentina)
open the account you want in Argentina -> accept gift -> It now in Argentina.
*disconnect vpn*
And it stays in Argentina
Edit: Made a few things clearer.

It looks like they have removed the region hopping restriction, I just used a generic vpn and no more contact support message.
happy travel to Maradona land.
So if I changed my store, I would have to wait two weeks to change it back.
What about creating an account in Arg? Can I buy cards here, sent it to that, buy the games and then send them to my main account? After creating the account, does it work right away to accept cards/buy games/send to my main account?
Would you use your name when changing the address to the Argentina store?
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
