The only thing I hate about the game is the cutscene before each level. You can't skip the stupid cutscene.

If you hate it, ignore it.

OMG, I just found out a really really annoying "bug".. Have you seen that when you enter certain big rooms and you enter through a small door, the door behind you gets shut so you can't run away screaming.. Anyway, I'm at the long level where you have to get underground and was at this long corridor and at the end was a big room with lots of M249 guys.. So after clearing the room from afar I went in slowly and just as I entered I walked back quickly and what happend? A big fucking door slammed shut before me and now I'm stuck in a corridor and can't move on.. Fuck this level was so annoying and now I have to do it once again.. It's annoying I tell ya...

Another bug is the silencer bug, wich is a little bit like the bug in CS 1.6

When you press Y to mount the silencer, you can press B (melee attack) almost imediately after Y. The silencer-mounting animation will be cancelled by the attach animation, but the silencer will be mounted anyway Smile Doesn´t work when you´re removing it though..

Had that happen to me. Pissed me right off. Haven't bothered to redo that level yet.

It's a shame Criterion, a fine developer, didn't put more depth abd diversity into the gameplay aspect.

its just a very fun game with loads of stuff exploding around you, giving you the feeling of a typical action movie which it does extremely good.
i dont care for the ai here as there are hundreds of enemies getting wasted like nothing,
this game isnt about depth its just pure action and i gotta admit its damn fun running around while spraying your bullets like air and tossing grenades around you, ensuing in huge fireworks.

After finishing it, I've been having fun just running around with the silver weapons and shooting stuff up. Silver rocket launcher is yummy.

I don't think they aimed for a good story driven shooter and superb ai, I think it works for what it is.. Even though it has no multiplayer (I don't play online on consoles anyway) I think it has replay value in just kicking back and killing dudes..

Very impressive shooter but a major failing for me is the blurry definition on a WS TV compared to a computer monitor, when trying to shoot an enemy in the distance. Ah well hopefully HDTVs will come down in price this year Smile

I saw the ad for this game on the TV the other day - its a really plushly decorated room with chandelier and all, in a stately home being shot to fucking pieces whilst some classical music plays in the background and theres some shots of the game running Smile

Nicely done.

using ritek dvds.. switched modeds betwen pal/ntsc.. tried it off the hd..

i have an executor 2 chip on a pal xbox..... if anyone has any other ideas.. would be appreciated.. thanks

hmm says bios unknown but the kernel number (if that means anything?) 1.00.4980.06

and the d/board is evox

this is the only game ive ever had that didnt work.. Crying or Very sad

Your setup sounds similiar to me Reg with the exception that I run UnleashX as the dash and it runs fine in my Pal Xboxes default video mode - In my case the game even ran off a multi disc and some HATE that.

I take it you've tried the usual stuff i.e. clearing your caches on X, Y, Z and E\cache, tryed disabling IGR/NoResetonEject/Livecheck/Clockerrorcheck, use games saves manager to check for and clear out any save data for Black (I've had games that don't work save data on my Xbox before), checked that the Xboxes time and date haven't been reset by unplugging it (I know some games don't like that) and also probably most importantly tried "tweaking" the settings within the video settings or returning them to default - its often the case that errant changes made to the video settings to get one game to work will result in others not working.

All simple suggestions and im sure you've probably tried them but thought I would offer them up anyway, you could always try getting your hands on a copy of Auto Installer Deluxe and trying various combos of dashes and bios versions to see if thats the problem.

Thanks i will give those ideas a try.. i should have mentioned it does actually run.. but always sticks at the same place.. during the intro/credits at the start

and ive tried burning it a few times.. so its not a bad burn

is it working now ??

ive got the same probs....

first burned it 8x with nero and got DDs.
burned it again with alcohol 4x and vola it works.

i dont know it the burning software made the difference but burning speed is more likely the
reason sometimes games wont work.

my ps2 really does not like more then 4x.

The game is pretty damn good, only a map or something like that would be nice.

Oh and the game works fine at a sofmodded xbox with evox and 8x +r Platium. It all dpends on your writer and the software, not realy the speed.

Laughing who told you that crap? ive burnt hundreds of games for my son on his xbox/ps2 at 8x and this is the 1st that didnt work ...... u only need to burn 1x or 2x if you are using crap media i would assume..

Hi mate. I had been using dvd+r's and it would never work. So I bought some -R's and the strange thing was I could burn burn it but it would fuck up half way through burning. So i got a loan of a mates external burner and it copyied and now plays fine. So all in all I was at it for about 4 days and fucked 24 blanks. LOL !!!

My modded XBoX likes DVD-RWs best (ZeroDefex) that I burn @ 2X
Just finished Sniper Alley or should that be RPG *!&*! Alley (!!). 1st time round I shot off all my RPG ammo & was f**ked for those pesky RPGers.
Great shooter - 2nd mission in forest was most atmospheric. Bit samey but fantastic grafix & 5.1 sound Smile
Well getting well pissed off at foundry mission . minefields were irritating but the RPG guy at the end pissed me off ! That mothajamma was shooting me from so far waay I couldnt even see him. Difficulty increasing, enjoyment decreasing, sameness staying the same Sad

Yay! Installed the trainer & finished the game - having the RPG all the time is hilarious - so many things exploding all over the shop Smile Ending seems to be a cliffhanger for the sequel - can't wait for it ! Technically superb game on an ageing P3 733MHz fer chrissakes (!) Amazing what dev's can do when they really try. Those suppressors made the ARs/MGs sound crap. Anyone mad enough to do it on hard & black ops ? Be warned trainer doesn't work for these modes Smile

Up to Black Ops now - much easier with the M16A2 with its grenade launcher - getting some good kills Smile
That Gulag mission on Hard at the last bunker complex was *mad* - only survived by hanging in the tunnel & shooting everything. Lovely grenade explosions - kind of like blue geysers going off.
