Told through the eyes of Nimue, a young woman with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake. After her mother’s death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a humble mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther.
Created and based on a book by Tom Wheeler & Frank Miller (Daredevil, The Dark Knight Returns, Sin City, and 300), “Cursed” consists of 10 episodes and will launch this coming summer.
The series stars: Katherine Langford (Nimue), Devon Terrell (Arthur), Gustaf Skarsgård (Merlin), Daniel Sharman (Weeping Monk), Sebastian Armesto (King Uther Pendragon), Matt Stokoe (Gawain), Lily Newmark (Pym), Shalom Brune-Franklin (Igraine), Emily Coates (Sister Iris), Billy Jenkins (Squirrel), Bella Dayne (Red Spear), and Peter Mullan (Father Carden).
Judging by the cast (Arthur) and pictures it feels like a typical Netflix adaptation (not in a good way) add to that 3/5 on Goodreads and this is gonna end well
Trailer looks bad, as usual they have some lightweight cheerleader-looking girl as a protagonist and we will have to believe that she is a badass with a sword or something.
The Mandalorian brought Gina Carano with her MMA background and her big arms to play the badass.
Just read a review where the reviewer said she fall asleep while watching it. And that they stretch the material as much as possible so it's just boring.
