I didn't really like the first one too much, the gameplay was kind of sloppy, though the ideas were cool.

And I did enjoy picking up all the different weapons and dual wielding them while shooting at different people at the same time... heh.

Some updates on Bloodrayne:

Majesco's 'BloodRayne' Stars in MTV2's New Series 'Video Mods' Premiering Saturday, September 18 at 9:30 P.M. EST

http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/040823/235115_1.html

A bit old:

Majesco announces that a star has been chosen for Boll KG and Brightlight Pictures' upcoming BloodRayne movie, as Terminator 3 costar Kristanna Loken will be sinking her teeth into the role: "Kristanna Loken, best known for her role opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in T3: Rise of the Machines, has signed on as the title character in the film adaptation of the popular Majesco action-horror video game BloodRayne. Loken will begin work on BloodRayne in August 2004 shooting in locations throughout Romania. As the film's lead, Loken will play the title character who is half human and half vampire, driven by vengeance to overthrow her father, Kagan, king of all vampires."

Uwe Boll is the most shit director ever, I wish they could have given the licence to someone with at least a bit of talent for filmmaking rather then this smacktard.

Anyway, I'm sure it won't be better then blade.

Some sweet actors signed for it though! Kristanna Loken as BloodRayne (she played T-X in Terminator 3) and Michelle Rodriguez as well (as Katrin, whoever that is). I don't know if I've seen anything by Uwe, but I'm hoping this movie will turn out to be a decent action flick with some nice girls in it (so far, so good).

One movie title comes to mind to see his AMAZING piece of shit in action.

House
Of
The
Dead

But to be fair it is like the game Very Happy bad acting, horrible directing but awesome zombie killing action Very Happy Plus when the action starts you have, and I’m not kidding you, scenes from house of the dead game spliced into the movie... I’ve only seen parts and those were it Very Happy so I never ever saw the whole movie:D

Alone in the dark might be 'good'. It has that guy from true romance whose career was ruined by john woo in broken arrow. You know who I’m talking about Very Happy Plus aitd has Tara Reid playing some smart chick HAHAHHAHAHAHA check out the trailer it's a doozey!

hotd was a pretty good film i though, underrated. its in the imdb btomm 250, but i dont trust imdb that much now. for instance memento is ranked really high (top 25 i think) and about 3 police academies are in the bottom 250. i know its userbased and everything but i think ppl let "popular" movies take control for instance lord of the rings is high and that has really got anything new in it. i mean yes theyre good but as a trilogy id rather watch the matrix or godfather which rightfully is number 1.

Up you go!

From:
https://www.resetera.com/threads/bloodrayne-pc-versions-to-be-improved-new-publisher-wants-to-further-explore-and-expand-the-universe.227839/

Which links to this:
https://www.gameinformer.com/2020/06/15/ziggurat-interactive-acquires-bloodrayne-franchise-alongside-other-majesco-properties

Quote:

Ziggurat Interactive Acquires BloodRayne Franchise Alongside Other Majesco Properties
The recently launched publisher continues to grow its massive catalog of owned IPs.

Ziggurat Interactive has purchased the rights to several game licenses previous owned by Majesco Entertainment. While BloodRayne is the headliner here, Ziggurat has also acquired the licenses to Advent Rising, Raze's Hell, and Flip's Twisted World. These acquisitions join Ziggurat's catalog of more than 200 owned IPs.

For BloodRayne in particular, Ziggurat Interactive is working with the original developer, Terminal Reality, to update the PC versions of the games to improve compatibility and enhance the experience. The publisher is also looking into ways to, "further explore and expand BloodRayne's already rich universe."

EDIT: Found the original game to be fun but it's been years since I played either of the two titles and I barely remember anything from the sequel at all beyond some improvements to the visuals and the death animations and such.

Liking the news though updates and a possible new installment to the franchise depending on how things go. Smile

And shit I just realized Nordic and it's related studios actually don't own all the little lost or mostly abandoned video game rights and franchises, well at least not yet.

Plus they picked up Advent Rising, second episode of whatever that game was going to be might actually happen.

Wonder what's next.

Yep it's been years since I played it but I recall it being intended to have multiple installments or episodic but due to initial low sales only the first part was ever released.

Will be interesting to see what comes from some of these acquisitions and pick-ups as studios or rights and licenses are sold off or picked up by others and either sees re-releases or remakes on current hardware particularly the newer console generations.

Must be some thought or plan behind some of these but I wonder how well they would do when revived like this, even otherwise popular franchises like say Tomb Raider struggled a bit with it's reboot though that also lies partially on publishers and expected sales for a few of these attempts.

Episodic or multiple installments we also have stuff like Sin Episodies or Anachronox or Shenmue which got a revive through fan backing via Kickstarter but overall reception appears to be pretty mixed.

THQ/Nordic as one of the more recent driving forces for re-releasing and updating some of their acquisitions but also others or even the developers themselves like with Crysis or handling it via outsourcing probably something we'll see a bit more of now with the new console generation giving an additional platform for sales and a new generation of gamers plus a possible way to justify a more costly remake rather than a updated re-release.

Far as Bloodrayne here goes I don't known if the original games will stand up very well but it's a nice gesture to see the effort and attempt before moving on to whatever the next thing will be and since Ziggurat picked up some of the other Majesco properties there has to be some plan for these too they won't just be sitting on them even if there might be a bit more time before any plans are announced like sequels or remasters or such.

Some bigger publishers will sit on stuff though, Dungeon Keeper remains kinda dead but as we saw Command & Conquer got a chance so you never know what might happen. Very Happy

I'm no expert or anything, risk and cost versus expected sales and possible targeting the XBox, Playstation and Switch consoles and various cross-gen efforts perhaps for a few of these re-releases without going over budget or risking poor sales affecting the economical situation too adversely but we shall see.

Obviously community interest and established popular franchises get a bit of a better chance or bigger undertaking like the full remake of Demons Souls but there's been a number of re-releases now and it's getting better overall from the looks of things compared to earlier more mixed results.
(Not perfect just yet though, Mafia 2 and 3 remasters kinda cooled down things a bit for Mafia 1's remake even if it's by different developer studios under the same publisher.)

Well what do I know, for now half-human half-vampire "Dhampir" and her adventures in World War 2 followed by the more modern setting in the sequel and whatever the spin-off games and comics branched off into. Very Happy

...Plus that one movie by the infamous mister Boll ha ha.
