Clear fix works fine for me from DVD
I removed the 5 shortened files first
repacked iso with qwix
Then just burned with nero
|

To the guy who got the error unpacking the iso with Craxtion. Try Qwix.
Also I read earlier a guy had the Aussie release of same game, V8 Supercars 3, yet I cannot find anyone selling it before 23rd Feb. Why doesn't he release it or forward to a group who will ? Just a thought.
Also read that if you have the MRN "working" release there is a fix that replaces a few files so all modes except World Tour work.....
but if you can get a Profile saved from the Retail original version you can upload that to your xbox and then World Tour also works.
So Codemasters have been a bit sneaky and put some checks in the saved profile that must detect the media or something.... shouldn't be too hard to bypass for a 100% working image.

Has anyone played this from HDD yet? Or is DVD the only way?

Hi,
Just tested the fixed version from CLEAR after applying patched files with QUIX and it works off the DVD but couldn't get WORLD TOUR to work - got the black screen. Pro series worked ok - have yet to try off HD.
Its only gonna be a matter of days till the US version is out as offical release is tomorrow.

At the moment DVD is the only way because of the long file names, though I'm sure a HDD fix will come soon which renames and relinks the long file names, hopefully.
I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

Apparently, I have been reading that if you transfer a retail save game to your xbox at tier1 (the very start bar one video and a half lap race) then world tour mode works fine with the fixed mrn release. So hopefully a save file will start doing the rounds soon.
But also some people claimed to have had the MRN-Working release running before the 40/80 fix, which is quite clearly impossible. So maybe we will still have to wait for a working-working release.
Heard this game is great on syslink and has headset support.... I must get one of those things.
I looked up "gormless" in the dictionary, it said "without gorm" .... so i looked up "gorm" but it wasn't there ????

Applied clear fix & reburnt ,& yes now boots but in career mode,the 2nd option 'GT Cars' gives dirty disk error.All the others seem fine,mainly wanted this mode so disappointed:/
Hoping for the retail soon,wasted too much time myself on this release.

pourquoi vous vous emmerdez avec cette putain de release de MRN et a constamment attendre des fix vous voyez bien que ceci ne marche pas?...laissez cette release de merde faite par un groupe de merde et attendez une vraie retail et qui marche vous voyez bien que MRN sont des con ils ne sont pas capable de faire un fix eux meme ce sont des connard c'est tout

New fix out, I will test as soon as i can.
| Code: | Extract the files from the iso
Extract this fix and overwrite the original files.
Repack the ISO, Burn to disc
Transfer the gamesave to your xbox E: Drive.
The game will now be fully playable in all game modes.

File contains those 5 files, UDATA and default.xbe
I have enough tester's now..

Are save files allowedl ? If not can a mod delete it.. note there are no xbe's just the udata file

not working from hd at all,tried all 3 xbe files now from the mrn release.tha bak file & the orig & the new one from the fix ,Repatched them all & nothing:/
the save file enables world challenge mode fine.Still getting dirty disk error though on the gt challenge mode (2nd option ) from the career mode. Is this just my copy or is this happening to anyone else??? Would be grateful if others would try this as its the mode i wanted to play most:/
