I just read about it now, haven't before, I live in a cave.
You had the official one running or pirated? Haven't found much info on how-tos, need more time to do research

Quote: | The June edition of the Offical PlayStation Magazine will confirm as many as 38 games for the PlayStation 5. Some of these are already known, of course, and are multiplatform games, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. However, many games would not be known at this time. |
May the NFOrce be with you always.

Still no sight of the console though at this event, by the sounds of it. Rumours persist that they're having to redesign it to improve thermals, which was apparently an issue even before after that last-minute GPU clock boost.
I wouldn't be surprised if the box ends up even bigger than Xbox Series X!

Development woes happen in both hardware and software, but I'm having hard time believing Sony fucked up so significantly they are redesigning the thermal control system from scratch during the release year. Sounds like something XSEX fans would make up. In PS4 the thermal control was not without problems, as Cerny acknowledged in his presentation, so it actually makes more sense that improvement on that front was a design goal from the get go.
MS are underdogs right now so they have different PR strategy than Sony. Their goal (as I understand it) is to attack the giant and the sooner they show off their toys and the longer they stay in the spotlight the better their situation becomes. Sony on the other hand, is acting like a typical market leader. Just like Apple for example, have their one annual show right before product release with secrecy up to that point, so does Sony is going for something similar. The emphasize on experience not the features and creating a buzz by staying silent is really something out of Apple book. Whether it will work out for them is another question altogether, as gamers are a pissy bunch with short memory and attention disorders.
I'm just sitting here happy that MS abolished platform exclusivity meaning I'll be able to play any XSEX games on my PC.

The wording of the announcement suggests they will concentrate on PS5 games...

Tim is a looney, but it was obvious he was talking about practical gaming computers.
This card though...unless I misunderstand, you jam in 8 SSDs to achieve parallel 24GB/s. I think that in comparison, Sony's single SSD achieving 9GB/s sounds impressive.

If Sony really want to wait until everything is tikety-boo in the world then they may as well just stop the silly virtue signalling and delay the whole PS5 launch for a couple of years. How utterly dumb for a successful Japanese company to kowtow to the US in this way.
