When modders find out what exactly has been cut there would be a mod asap to fix it. As far as I know there were problems with expired licenses for Little Richard songs. If they were the only ones I don't know.
Mafia II: Definitive Edition will be granted to all Steam owners of the original today at no additional cost. Existing Mafia III owners on PS4/XBO/Steam will be upgraded to Definitive Edition today as well
I thought the game was gonna unlock when Steam usually updates, but it's been close to 20 minutes and nothing.
None of the pages are up and I don't see the new Mafia II in my library.
III was changed to Definitive Edition, and the old II was changed to Classic though, so it's probably only a matter of time.
Nice! Going to try it tho i don't have good memories when i played it on PS3.
I remember not liking the driving and shooting.. but will give this another shot
It seems a couple of pre-order dlc packs are missing, too.

Mafia II: Definitive Edition - Made Man Pack"
LMAO! Yeah, I'll live without a 2k account. Haven't checked if the lvl 3 tuning is there. It will definitely not be unlocked for all cars since you had to install a mod for that.
This is a weird "remaster". Vito has blue eyes and his face animation and structure have changed to look more generic. But what I find really weird is that while it has sharper textures, there are less details and it lost its stylized look.
feels like someone was outsourced and randomly turn up and down some knobs and pushed a few buttons then call it a day. No wonder they're giving it away for free lol.
When I arrived at Vito's place for the first time there was an NPC whose bottom half was inside the ground and he was t-posing. After 'walking' a few meters the ground just swallowed him up.
Nice to see they put a lot of work and care into this totally not a cash grab.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty
I am interested in the remake of the original Mafia, that was an awesome game. IMO it was superior to GTA 3, yeah, you heard me right.
Mafia 2 is only worth one playthrough amd I have already done it. Some less washed up colors will not persuade me to replay it. Also, they turned their faces into more generic faces, I don't lile that change. Are people supposed to be clones? No ugly or unusual characteristics?

I kinda get where you're coming from - but Mafia 2 is still quite a wonderful experience compared to the festering shit-heap that Hangar 13 chose to make Mafia 3 into.
That's what worries me - the fact that they tapped Hangar 13, the developer that basically crucified and killed the Mafia franchise, to do a full remake of the glorious original. A part of me says they couldn't possibly fuck it up. Then there's that realist part of me that says of course they're going to fuck it up - it's 2020. Nothing surprises me anymore.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

well they even renamed both 2K Czech branches to Hangar 13 so you dont really know who exactly is working on the remake
mafia 3 was made by Novato studio first at foremost ... so if i could guess the left the remake to CZ studios while the US ones work on M4
