use cureROM when creating the profile select I dont want to use any Virtual cd/dvd ... the rest leave it as it is (mount the mds Manuaally usind D tools 4)
finally when the profile is over slect the icon cureRom creates and set it to compatibility mode with windows 2000 works every time now i tested in two different pcs and worked great

Thanks Aspvr, i've tried everything mentioned on these forums, and your post did the trick for me! I didnt have to put it in win2000 compatibility mode, it worked fine without it...

The cd version is fine but if you have the dvd version the only way to get it to run first time and everytime is either grab cd1 of the cd clone version or grab the 124meg mini image that is out there somewhere and use that to fire up the game.
Use antisecrurom on the games sweaw.exe which is located in the gamedata folder and it should fire up.

Well i tested my DVD on several machines. Im using DT 3.47 + CureROM 1.3b, on my machine it worked at first try and still working each time. On the other machines, im using the same progs but it can work like 2 times in row, then the next 10 time you try you will get bad disc or emulation message, then work, then...
I dont think the problem is the DVD but more about something sitting in computers.

Star Wars Empire At War CureRom Profile and Reading burn READNFO-MiRROR
Code: | This is the CureRom Profile that was used to verify that both
EAW DVD and CDROM versions worked mounted. Copy this profile
to your CureromProfiles directory (The default profiles
directory is C:Program FilesCureROMProfiles). Now, you will
need to edit this profile. To do this, just click start,
programs, CureROM, and select CureRom (not curerom lite), then
select open an existing curerom profile, click browse for
profile, and select mir-eaw.crp. Hit next. Obviously, if you did
not install the game to the default directory, you will need to
change the Application field to point to wherever you installed
empire at warGameDatasweaw.exe (YOU MUST link it to sweaw.exe
or it will not work.) Then, click next. Change backup image to
wherever you have the mir-eaw image at (mds if dvd, bwt if cd)
and hit next. Have it create your shortcuts, hit next and
hit save. This profile was tested and works on both cdrom and
dvdrom versions of the MiRROR clone. This profile also worked
on the ITWiNS Internal clone. Make sure to use CureROM 1.3.0.b.
Also, much respect to Itwins for getting their internal clone
to work burnt, but their method also works on our clone. to get
MiRROR DVDclone to work burnt, just open A120 1.9.5.3105, select
image burning wizard, open MIR-EAW.mds, hit next, select Burn
RMPS to recordable media and hit start. When done burning,
install game and run pr0t-st0p, and click hide, then close
pr0t-st0p. Finally, run the game, (do not run the curerom
shortcut, run it from normal shortcut). This method worked good
for our testers on Windows 2000, but our Windows XP testers had
a lot of problems getting either ITWiNS or MiRROR dvdclones to
work RMPS using pr0t-st0p. We are not sure why this happens.
We did find another way to get ITWiNS and MiRROR clones to work
RMPS on XP. On Windows XP, enable RMPS in A120, then just simply
select CureRom Lite and then run the game. All CureRom lite is,
is all anti-blacklisting measures enabled without any profiles
needed. Yes, using CureROM lite on mounted clone works too, but
the profile is there if you dont want to use Curerom lite for
some reason.
On another note, if you hate Curerom, you can mount any of the
cd or dvd clones in DT4 with Securom Loader (antisecurom.exe,
found on dt4s website) regardless of dt4s emulation options
being on or off. All mount and burn methods were tested with
the initial 1.0 version and 1.2 patch.
On a last note, The CDROM version of EAW, when burned with
twin-sector, takes a little while to load and securom complains
about the load time. Just hit retry and it will load up.
Twin-sector method involves large ammounts of substandard
sectors that slows the Securom check considerably, Especially
if you burned the image too fast, or burned on CDRW. Give it
time and it will load. If you want faster Securom checks, either
slow down your burn speed to 4x, use CDR media, burn with a
Plextor Premium or mount the clone. |

Works everytime if you:
1) Mount in DT4.0.3 with all emulation on (CD Version only)
2) Use Securom Loader to open the file sweaw.exe (no need to change compatibility)
3) just wait at the first screen, it takes about a minute to go into the menu
hope this works for you also.
