Well, it doesn't work for me. It bitches about inserting a proper legitemate CD. This is using latest DT, with DVD-RW drive unplugged. How can people release stuff without even seeing if it works properly?

man. curerom thingy is fricking awesome. i created a profile for toca3 too and now i have a shortcut rd3.exe on the desktop. i click that icon and curerom starts dtools, boots the dvd image and starts the game, all in 5 seconds and without prompting anything to me.
i just click and i'm in the game...
closest thing to a nocd ever!

I remember AntiBlaxx did the same thing, mounted image, hide emulator entries in the registry and started the exe, the only down side was that sometimes, at exit, it forgot to unhide the registry entries. Then, at boot, it messed up the comp pretty bad, you had to manualy uninstall drivers that came with the emulator ...etc....

After almost falling asleep waiting for the 43 chunks to be "RD3_AntiNonReversingDeUnSquishifimicateriser.exe" (heh), I merely mounted it in Daemon Tools 4.03 x64 and game worked first time.
This is on a nForce 3 motherboard, game uses StarForce 3.07.013.000, 26.01.06.

I bet this game is just as crap as the old one...Codemasters don't really care about people's feedback..its all BS. Thank god we got much better alternatives anyway...

I don't think they were anti-copying measures, just uncompressing heavily compressed chunks.
And yeah, game seems *yawn* exciting (not).

What settings are you using, it isn't working on my old computer (p4 2,2ghz/9600pro). Disconnecting ide cables worked.

For StarFarce protected titles, I prefer a nice straightforward batch file to launch the game.
Code: |
ToCA.BAT
@ECHO OFF
REM StarFarce sux0r Donkeyz0r DICkZ0r
CLS
"C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe" -mount 0, F:\Images\RACEDRIVER3.mds
E:
CD "\Race Driver 3\"
RD3.exe
"C:\Program Files (x86)\DAEMON Tools\daemon.exe" -unmount 0 |
Simple and very fast launching.

nothing to "try and see if it works"... if u have no internal optical drive every clone -securom, safedisc and starforce- will work fine just mounting the image with dtools4. nothing else to do. mount and play

So they begin to blacklist USB device. How nice the next version of starforce 3.8 if you have a washers and dryer and maybe a macrowave the game won't start !!!

well, me having an external drive doesn't have anything to do with me playing games. u shut down the drive when i dont use it so technically when i play something i never have a drive on my pc
