230 is like impossible, thats a gpu running at 100% load, u sure thats not a max value ?

or is this some fancy gen4 in raid thing crazy shit ?

this is the measurement at the power cable from the PSU that enters the socket, only my 1080Ti can probably pull 200W+ by itself Laughing
in stress tests it (whole case) reaches over 500W
my PSU is rated at 850W

edit: at idle my GFX is rated to pull ~60W from GPU-Z
so if correct - that leaves the other 170W to the CPU, MB, RAM, 2xSSD, LAN

these latest gamers pcs are frying the planet rofl, im staring at my 30wats idle and i still thought that it was to much (22nm cpu ) , try some messing with windows and its power options/settings and check in bios if u have power saving features enabled i guess, let u beta test it while i wait for the 4000 series haha

I am running the latest BIOS and Chipset versions
everything is Auto except XMP is ON, RAM voltage is 1.35 and Gear Down Mode is OFF (if ON CAS is 16 instead of 15)
oh and Virtualization is ON, cause I need VMs to do some work

edit: I plan on jumping on 4000 series when they come out, hoping they still use AM4

if u open like a hd/4k youtube, does poweruse go up ?

check this video, this guy was praising low power use , he uses your cpu, check and compare his settings n stuff

i quote him midway video, "the idle power consumption was the most impressive feature" Razz

oh, it seems the core mhz of all the cores is tied to each other and needs to stay within a 1gigrz difference threshold due to the divider, so he reccomends only setting ccx individually , whatever that means lol
