The Velka has a 2700 RTX, your potat has a 3200g with the mighty Radeon Vega 8 Of course it is smaller. What next, are you going to call yourself dick sucker when you compare your chopin to your raspberry pi?
If I could find the only ITX x99 board out there—ASRock X99E-ITX/ac—I might have built a cutie with my current CPU. Alas, I can only find parts for it on Ebay, or 380$. At that price, I'd buy a new motherboard+CPU.
pax is the 3200g capable of basic gaming with maybe mid details at full hd? im thinking about building a cheap small thing to put it at my girlfriends place to have the ability to play some games there
so not that great for gaming, meh. was hoping it was decent, but thats not what i want. in that case i could buy another ps4 so the cheap way with an asrock deskmini a300 isnt going to work.
the only way to save money though is to remove the two ssds and just buy one cheap 400gb ssd. drops the price about 140 bucks. but in the end that doenst make any huge difference. i just have to justify spending that money
no chance to get the 3500x here, finalized my thoughts though. just have to talk with my gf about it, not about the money im spending but about putting a small cube in her living room (i dont need to tell her that im willing to spend about 1/3 of the amount of money that she wants to spend to buy a car just to be able to game when i stay at hers...)
basicly the config i posted but removed the m2 ssd, no need for that atm. the 1tb ssd should be enough. and switched to another model of the gfx card and a thermaltake core v1 case because i could get all the components now from one retailer for ~810 bucks. not really cheaper than picking the cheapest offer for every component but without multiple shipping fee im saving a few bucks in the end. would have loved to end at max 750 euros but i dont see any possibility where i could change components
have build the mini pc, its kinda nice but the stock cooler from the 3600 is loud. with deactivated pbo it reaches 93°C during multicore cinebench, with pbo (which seems to be activate by default) its even more till it throttles. thought about switching to the stock cooler from my 3700x which should be a little better but i dont think its worth the hassle. so any good cheap cooler recommendations which dont exceed 140mm height?
as i said i still have the wraith prism i never used from my 3700x... still dont know if its worth the time to get everything out of the case again. dont wanna do that again if the prism sucks too
edit: think im giving the prism a shot tomorrow
edit2: works better than expected. temps almost 20°C less, with custom fan curve its silent enough for normal stuff. ofc it gets loader with heavy load
