Well, yeah that were the original plans, but Oblivion did release in March of next year.

I don’t know, I think after the whole FO76 fiasco they are going to take at least a little bit more time to develop Starfield.

Also I may be wrong but I don’t remember a big release in recent years coming around Christmas?

Yet with the new consoles coming out this year, this can change, so it’s possible that you may be right.

Haven't you learned anything? Look at all the stunts they pulled with FO76 after it launched, including a sub to play on "not actually your" playfields... and all the other crap, lol.

They haven't learned shit and btw good luck with Starfield on the same engine as FO76 ^^

Eeeeh the engine is the least of FO76's problems. It was "ok" on FO4 (bethesda ok Laughing), and I don't mind if they keep it as long as it remains modder friendly.
Unless they're thinking of using some online element in starfield Sad

Can't wait for super buggy launch. Smile

Of course all of this should be taken with a grain of salt but supposedly this is a very detailed leak regarding the development of Elder Scrolls VI plus a little bit of information regarding Starfield.

Well, yeah but when you think about it, if they release Starfield in 2021, ES6 in 2025 doesn't seem too unrealistic.

I mean Fallout 3 released in 2008, Skyrim was released in 2011 and Fallout 4 in 2015. (I'm excluding New Vegas since it was developed by Obsidian and ESO because it wasn't developed by the main Bethesda team).

So the timeline kinda fits.

I still cannot believe how stupid they are. Skyrim blew up as people loved it. They should have been working on the next game immediately, but they didn't.

Don't know how ESO is doing right now but pretty sure they got more money from it so they don't bother with another single player game that would cost more to make and earn less. Oh ye, and re-releasing Skyrim for all possible platforms. And of course they know a new TES game will eat up from the profits of ESO so they are now trying with another genre with Starfield.

Either they're burned out on the franchise or they're waiting for tech to improve to make something more substantial than Skyrim 2.0..

when it comes out chat GPT-like AI will be a thing for sure and that will be amazing and it will be quite different to what we have now.

We are now also getting 3D screens that doesn't require glasses, so that might be a thing for it or just really great VR.. Seen a demo of it (in a store) and it's pretty cool.

It can't just be because of that retarded indiana derp game. Feels like they just don't want to make it?
Oh and I'll just say this: if you think the toddster is bad, you'll fucking weep when TES is fully in the hands of that derp derpagliuro Sad

Make it 2029 to be on the safe side. 2030-ish just to be sure.

Look on the bright side, it'll still arrive before Star Citizen.

glad they released that trailer back in 2018 btw Rolling Eyes

normally we should have a game which is announced with a teaser trailer 5 years ago, at least when it's from one of the bigger companies and its not a kickstarter project.

Very sad to hear, but Kurt has officially parted ways with the BGS team according to his LinkedIn page. Kurt has been such a staple of the Elder Scrolls series Daggerfall. Along with Todd Howard and Michael Kirkbride, Kurt was one of the main designers and writers of the Elder Scrolls: Redgaurd, which saw the creation of the First Pocket Guide of the Empire and the beginnings of the cosmology of the modern format of the Elder Scrolls. When asked if there's a definitive bible or guide to the Elder Scrolls, Skyrim writer Shane Liesegang replied, "Kurt's brain." Kurt was also one of the lead designers for Skyrim.

He also wrote two of my favorite lore pieces, the Dragon Break Re-Examined and the Translation for Calcelmo's Stone. I am incredibly disappointed to see him go, but I wish him the best in all that he does and hopes he gets the full oppurtunity to make use of his talents and passions.

Thanks for everything you've given to the community Kurt!

Rumor is that he was asked to leave Philosopheraptor
