0.9 metacritic and going down, fallout 76 has 4 times that score with 2.7 , deserved, and still plenty of chills defending blizzard ofcourse
especialy the press reviews in metacritic, notice how few dared to post theirs to not show how corrupted they are

They do refund though and I can't say I have seen people banned from the WoW forum who talked about the procedure.

I had almost forgotten about it. But then I got reminded in December and went on the subreddit. All the posts there was about how broken the beta was and no patches for anything and delays and patches breaking shit and blah blah blah. Combined with the usual "iT'S jUsT a BeTa!!" apologists.
That's when I knew it was going to be some hot garbage.
It's sad cause I had a glimmer of nostalgia when I thought of it. Playing all those custom maps in a new engine and with superior custom map support. And replaying all the campaign with polished cutscenes and voice acting.
Can't get one fucking inch of respite from all the garbage game devs push on us nowadays.
Fuck it all.

Nostalgia alone probably caused record pre-orders. TB's advice of "Never preorder" comes to mind.

But I guess we'll just have to reinstall the old Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne instead and play lan over the internet.  (Or well, Starcraft 2 is probably a better choice?)
What a shame. Blizzard could have really made something great here, proper graphics settings (ultrawide, high resolutions, better textures), more tools and features for map makers and a better way to play maps (not having to individually download them outside the game).
But no, they just had to ruin it for no good reason. |
I was also looking forward to replaying Footmen Frenzy, X Hero Siege and the various maul maps. There are variants for Starcraft 2, but just isn't the same.
I'm still pissed at how Blizzard have fucked up what should have been a really easy remaster. |

I'll be interested to see Blizzard's next move. I see three options: Continued radio silence (hoping it blows over), blaming gamers (the gamergate classic) or false promises of fixes/changes.

Internet will forget in no time anyway. Give it a year or two and a cool trailer for some new Blizz game and the hype will start up again.
The derps that don't follow general games communities and just buy whatever they hear based on word of mouth will keep on buying new games.
Average Overwatch player probably doesn't even know that Warcraft used to be strategy games. If they fuck up Overwatch 2 it might cause some actual dent in the trust of their majority player base.
