Bad Robot and Warner Media are teaming to exclusively develop both film and TV ideas based on DC’s “Justice League Dark” universe.
Meetings will reportedly soon be held between Bad Robot and writer/talent reps as to which characters could get their own projects. At present no specific projects have been set.
Warners has been loosely developing a JLD movie for years with helmers like Guillermo del Toro and Doug Liman linked at one point or another.
That film began with a series of ancient tomes being stolen by a madman hell-bent on humanity’s end. Due to this, occult detective John Constantine seeks out a group of heroes that specialize in the mystic and arcane in order to save the world including Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna, Etrigan the Demon and Madama Xanadu.
Other characters who have been on the team in the comics include Shade, the Changing Man, Black Orchid, Doctor Mist, Pandora, Nightmare Nurse, Frankenstein and the vampire Andrew Bennett.

Keanu isn't suited for another franchise. He does shit he finds fun. If they cast him as Constantine and its shit... He won't return for another. He doesn't need the monies. He's Tom cruise. Does what he wants for as long as he enjoys it.

Del Toro was going to use Matt Ryan as Constantine when he was attached to direct Justice League Dark as he thought he was a good version of the character based on the original canceled show but when Del Toro left the project Ryan got snatched up on Arrow, then Legends of Tomorrow and eventually did the voice for the Justice League Dark animated movie. I doubt WB would want Ryan though because Constantine could be one of the bridging characters like Coulson was that they could float around a new DC universe if they are using this film as a new starting point post Crisis. But if JJ Abrams wants Ryan then he will star as it seems they are trying to court him to direct the next Superman film or be attached to DC projects in some way.

But, I'm thinking if Keanu wants the part, most likely no one else will get it.
