A couple of cops came knocking on my door an hour ago and asked me when i had last seen my neighbour. I told them i hadent seen him for a couple of weeks and that i thought he was lying dead in his flat since it had started smelling a couple of days back!

They agreed after smelling around for a while and called a locksmith, needless to say when they opened the door the fucking smell just came out the door like a herd of orcs or something. Now he is bagged tagged and taken to the morgue, but the fucking stink remains! In my flat and in the staircase and so on. its gonna be retarded trying to get some sleep when you have the smell of a rotting corpse around you, sigh! Rolling Eyes

Btw, he was like 80 years old and had emphysema!

And no i did not take any pictures, if you want that go to ogrish or rotten!

The most disturbing thing right now is the smell of a corpse in my apartement! Evil or Very Mad

@Spun[k]
Well in germany if something like that happens rescue service (or a doctor) must be called, to confirm death (as stupid as it sounds, but a smelly, bloated body may only called dead by a doctor). For convienience its rescue service as we're always on standby.
Hell, if no doctor would be with us, we were supposed by law to perform CPR. But in reality you can distinguish dead an unconcisous(sp?) people Wink.

@MAD_MAX333
So true. But i'd never want to "work" on someone who is close to me. Well spun[k] isn't Wink

well, your odd then man.

Ive seen a few ppl get shot, seen a bunch get stabbed and one guy, I think they beat him to death, i dunno, i just kept walking.
Still, least me, I'll never get used to it. Not as shocking as the first time, but still, disturbing none the less.

or juse wait for the clearners to properly clean the place. A rotten corpse can leave some things near impossible to clean.

i've never seen a dead body apart from at the hospital there's a huge freezer and from time to time ive seen them carrying bags to and from there.

I'm not sure how i'd react the first time but it would be quite good to be a forensic detective. I hate to see things like autopsies, especially when that first knife goes in and slices it all apart.

Call me sick, but I've never been bothered much by Ogrish.com etc.

I've seen dead bodies and people die a few times. I've actually been in the situation where I've got a loaded gun to my head twice.

Ironically, the second time was a guy trying to make it seem like a "gang" or "organized crime" thing - they were involved in some things, I was there kudos to a friend of mine - and pointed a small 9mm (?) at my head. About a month ago the guy that did it killed himself - with the same gun.

I've been desensitized to death to a degree, to the point that, like Syco says, it bothers me to see it happen, but I don't have nightmares etc.

I'm actually quite fascinated with DTs (undercover/plainclothes cops) and hitmen because they are desensitized to it to the point of being near a psychopath - that they can kill someone and enjoy a drink a short time later.

same shit happened to a friend of mine. saved a lot of money because of this, called the landlord and told him "hey dude, i aint gonna pay the full amount if it stinks like this". so landlord cut the rent in half for two months. if the landlord wouldve have done it by himself my friend said he'd go to court, and he wouldve won no doubt about that Very Happy
