It seems to have only white subtitles and white borders. Is there really no way to change it? If i want to to use the built-in media player?

Yeah. You go into the subtitle file and add colour prefixes.

What is the format of the subtitles?
If the format is PGS, you won't be able to, as those are overlayed images on top of the video. You will have to rip them first to SubRip or SSA/ASS and then you will be able to change the color.

SRT.

I tried this tool.

https://subtitletools.com/change-subtitle-color-online

For example i made the colour red.
If i play the video on the pc it has red subtitles but if play it on the tv its white. I just want white subtitles with black borders.

Try converting to ASS using Aegisub and then add the color there in the style manager. See if that helps.

If not, just get a streamer? TB players are always pretty terrible and inflexible.

Can you hardcode the subtitles and reencode the video? Have never done that but it would work. Caveman solution.

Also, does Samsung support have anything to say?

Don't do that. Laughing

Change the player. Samsung has Plex, use that.

Oh, wait, I was thinking backwards now. I use Serviio to stream content while using the TV's built-in player (which I can't do shit with except play/browse the folder I've added in Servioo). I also have my PC connected to the TV with HDMI so I can play it on the PC with the TV as monitor. It was this solution I tried (but failed) to suggest. If you don't have the close proximity between PC & TV that enables the use of an HDMI cable there are wireless solutions for that (never tried it myself).
