He's comparing actors and roles that he believes immortalized them in pop culture. So of course he's clearly saying that the WItcher stories are better written than LOTR.

lol.. Witcher is pulp fantasy, at best. LOTR is a masterpiece, even after 80+ years its not forgotten.. No one will know what "Witcher" is in 10-20 years.

Its not about it being made a long time ago, i'm just saying Witcher is cheap pulp fantasy, its as generic as it gets. I take it you have not read a lot of fantasy perhaps? It's not awful, but as a fantasy series i would not put it in my top 10 list, i doubt very few would do who's been reading a lot of Fantasy.
LOTR is a universe with even fully created new languages, a huge history and lore which i would say is unprecedented. Witcher doesn't even have a map in the books afaik, because he just doesn't care.

We are all.. every single one of us limited by the series we've read or watched. No one has seen/remembered them all. If Witcher is generic, by your standards, what is a non generic good fantasy series? I'd say WItcher has a lot of non generic elements to iti

No, I also think that after the TV series runs its course, the franchise will retreat from the limelight. Without the games, which took many liberties, the franchise would be unknown in most of the West.

LOTR might have a more rich world, setting, maps, and shit, but in my book, Witcher is better than any black and white fantasy coz black and white is just boring.

Yup, she reminded me of the Sabrina that we saw in TW1  (whereas her appearance changed completely in TW2). The one that made me giggity the most was Renfri though :'(
