By shipping from USA. There is a relatively small tax for computer parts, so usually itโs cheaper than EU and certainly cheaper than local.

A pro computer with actual pro components is expensive, who would have expected that!
That monitor and its stand, together, are priced 20,000$ less than its single less-capable competitor. Without the stand, it's even better deal. The reason the stand is sold separately and not part of the price, is because usually in professional video grading environments, those displays are mounted directly on walls or mounting arms (which cost fortune themselves). So often, that stand is unnecessary.
But oeh noehz, they sell an expensive computer that pros actually asked for (rather than the trash can version), let's laugh because we can't afford it.
A 50,000$ computer is not really that much for companies that want it. A lot of high end workstation computers can reach these prices.

Nothing really justifies the base mac"pro" model pricing, its over 8k euros in here, absolutely trash specs for that money.

The cheapest Mac Pro is $5,999.00.
A similarly specced HP Z8 workstation is $8448.80.

That's ridiculously expensive as well. Who says you have to buy HP? Why not build your own workstation? You'll get exactly what you want/need and most likely much cheaper at that.

Because that's not how companies operate. IT departments don't build their own computers, they buy a machine that is specced to their needs. This machine then has a warranty and a reliable support channel.
But let's look at a few components:
Intel Xeon 6234 - $2,448.99
Supermicro X11DPI-NT Motherboard - $665.61
Nemix 4x8GB 2933MHz ECC Registered Memory - $212.99
AMD Radeon Pro WX 7100 8GB - $524.49
970 Pro m.2 512GB - $169.99
That's ~4000. A little more for peripherals, tower case and cooling. For a private build, by all means, buy and build.

I already know all this. I just think it's way overpriced just because it's for companies. On the other hand, I don't really care since I don't run a company and the money that these companies pay goes to further development which in the end trickles down to consumers.

The chances of such an expensive machine malfunctioning is very low. On the other hand, a hand-built machine is much more likely to malfunction.
The people that work on these machines have very high salaries. Take the money lost if a few of those professionals are unable to work due to technical issues, add the amount of IT manpower time needed to build those machines, add the amount of IT manpower time needed to diagnose and service potential issues, and that $2000 is suddenly not as large as it might seem to you and me.

@WhyCantIResetMyPw
Building a PC takes a lot of time?
It's like a 5-10 minute job, lol.
Also, you don't "build Laptops". So that's not a thing.

Oh he just throws all the parts in the air the computer builds itself, obviously. The 5-10 minutes is the time it takes to unwrap all the packages.

Components unpacked ready on the shelves we did under 10 minute builds.
But the larger orders we didn't even try that because you can't keep up that kind of concentration.
In the end if you count the unpacking, sorting and putting on shelves it's nowhere near that time ofcourse.
Shame I never took pictures of that buildroom. Never seen it as efficient elsewhere (was 17 years ago so no my potato phone didn't cut it or made you even think of taking a picture :>).
