Why no topic on this....?

Doesn't need to be something you've finished, can be something you're still watching, and feel free to rate it anyways, as long as you're clear about how long you've watched.

Umbre. Watched 3 episodes. It's Sopranos - in Romania!

It even comes with a protagonist who's getting issues with panic attacks! How imaginative.
Slight spoiler: in one episode our main guy goes to a doctor (to collect a debt from him, its not a friendly visit). He lets this doctor inject him with an unknown drug, straight into the neck(!!!) to help him with panic attacks... yeah. i guess main guy is supposed to have an IQ of like 50. 4/10.

Because nearly every show gets its own thread, less so with movies.

Yes. So instead of people having to create a whole new thread for a series they perhaps didn't even care for they can post about it here.

It can be a good series too obviously, maybe its an old series and you don't want to google nfohump series name just to write something short.

I am watching The Shield, I am at s04e03, it is pretty addictive. I cast it to my Chromecast on my TV and work out, it gets the blood pumping with the macho violence and shit

Great cast/characters! And I have heard S05 is the best, so ... it is gonna rock!

Shield is fucking awesome, seen the whole series 3 times over the years. Its one of those series i always recommend when people say they really liked Sopranos or the wire..

That one and Southland (underrated).

Watched The Shield so many times. One of the tv greatest along with The Wire, Justified, Generation Kill, Chernobyl, Breaking Bad, Boardwalk Empire, Sopranos, Barry... There also a few others that are useful as dumb pew-pew and tits shows plus some memorable characters (like Banshee or The Boys). Also if you have a particular scratch (Cold War of example) there are shows like The Americans.

The Shield has a great last season, unlike so many series. To end a show with a bang and with grace while leaving a little something for the imagination - that is how it should be done.

While Southland is great i always had a hard time with finding a good quality mkvdemo with english subs :/ I did watch the show a couple of times though.

EDIT: Right now im watching Justified (again). Notably, Walton Goggins (Shane from The Shield) plays a redneck gangsta and he was supposed to go down in the first season (as per the book "Fire In The Hole" i suppose?). But he is such a great character he stayed. The way he speaks and the way his character develops is truly great IMO. The dialogues are a big thing in the show. Add to that some other great performances and this show is really on of the tv's greatest for me.

I guess i should watch Justified.. for some reason i quit watching it during S1, but it wasn't a bad show, wasn't blown away perhaps but..

What i really liked with The Shield was the many great characters, there's like 10 characters that you just can't wait to see the next scene with because they're so interesting/involving and the actor is great. I don't know of any show like that, well apart from Sopranos maybe.

Justified gets good slowly so i don't blame you for not sticking with it. Especially Boyd Crowder's (Walton Goggins) character who gets good after S1. His relationship with the main character (Raylan) is a masterpiece IMO. Neither enemy nor friend as Grey Fox would sayl. "We dug coal together" - everytime they say it i have the case of major feels Crying or Very sad
The show has a nice way of introducing characters just for a really small part and then they come back later in the show with a great arc. The fourth season was the best example of that - it's basically "where's Waldo" Laughing Laughing
Every season has a sort of a showdown that's always intersting. The contemporary western part of the show is very well made.
Oh, and i absolutely hate the shows theme. Country rap? WTF Laughing

Totally agreed on The Shield. The show would never be the way it is nowadays. Too much PC bullshit.
I remember watching the show the first time when there were already 4 (i think) seasons and then watching ep by ep. The wait for the next ep was always painful.
The shaky grainy camera, awkward zoom-ins and the whole "dirty" feel of the show makes it all the more believable.

Sadly, nowadays there seems to be many shows with an interesting premise but everything else is average. Netflix is the king in that. I remember being so dissapointed with The Rain. Should have seen that coming.
