The combat system can be an unreliable mess. You get grabbed without being touched. You deflect blaster shots without touching them. Some enemies move almost at full speed when slowed. Physics and force powers don't really work together all that well. etc.
I just don't get how this game is getting so much praise. It's a decent game, but where are these 9s and 10s coming from? I guess if you starve people from a certain kind of product, they'll accept anything afterwards. The Outer Worlds is kinda in the same boat.
^ yes. This is exactly was I was saying a few pages ago...

Game is not worth 60 Euro + the high praise that it gets...
We've had such an abominable hunger for a good Star Wars game for so long that, now, anything that doesn't suck or is kinda decent will pass as GOOD, and anything that is good will pass as really GREAT.
Sometimes the control is unresponsive or delayed, making it the greatest enemy in the game and the only thing I don't like about it.
If I had proper PC controls, with a walk toggle, a damn FOV slider, a customizable ROLL SINGLE button (not double-pressing like it is now, mimicking a derptroller easy double-tap), well, the game would be considered in my book as a VERY good game.

If you are referring to the conversation we had a few days ago, I still stand by what I said. My complaints are about the technical execution not the combat style.
This game is really rough around the edges, but apparently this is tolerable nowadays.
I’ll have to wait for the latest patch to be cracked. Stuttering is pretty annoying, but I can’t get past the cut scene on first planet, just after using the zip line. Games ctd every time.
Might have to reinstall and try again. Unless someone knows a fix?
I have 0 issues with the gfx, been long since I played something this stable, I'm on 1920x1080, Epic and stable 60fps - gpu temp is farily cool as well.
After an exhausting download that took two Jedi generations I finally got around to playing through it, devouring the iso like a hungry Oggdo Bogdo. As far as mainstream action games for the couchpeople go, it was
There's nothing that particularly stands out, the story and Gingerwalker are quite safe and Disney approved(tm), the gameplay is a hodgepodge of several tripe-A elements coming from Tomb Ramboot & co. with wannabe Soulsekiro combat designed around Lunar gravity and random hitboxes, but..the result wasn't anywhere as insulting as I feared. It's mostly thanks to the level design, atmosphere and sense of progression which are done well, despite the exploration being botched by the useless cosmetic loot for pears. The experience as a whole was a rollercoaster for me, both satisfying and painfully cinematic, but the former prevailed.
Even the visuals alternated great moments to rushed washed-up ones, similarly to how the performance acted here (high framerate followed by stuttering when loading new areas). Still, it's a massive improvement over what we had in the past 15 years (yes the Farce Unleashed, I'm especially looking at you!) and a genuinely honest title considering EA's current standards. I'd give it a solid 7/10 for the effort, which the inevitable sequel could improve.
I love ixi's colourful reviews, flavouring them with terms/elements from the game itself, that one can only understand if they played the game themselves.

Finished today. 10/10 for me and I believe for most SW fans. Aside from technical issues, this is a gem and I hope they get to make more. Feels short to me now but it's really not, it's just that good of a time sink.
I would be really excited if this was not fucking star wars... I grew to hate star wars. Maybe I should replay kotor or Jedi Knight to regain strength

It's apparent this game was done really quickly. It's not obvious at boot, because usually shitty games released too soon crash or have more apparent glitches preventing gameplay (hint hint RDR2). This is just highly unpolished.
OT: Who would've guessed that polished would stand for high quality one day
