My biggest problem is that jump and dodge are separate buttons. All other soulslikes use the same button for both, and it's very distracting that this one doesn't.

^ That was my main problem also.

At some point I used SPACE (the default key for jumping in literally ANY videogame) to function as DODGE. Hard compromise for a damn 'derpsole' game (as someone said in a few posts before).

I bound dodge to Mouse4. I don't know how people play with this on Y/Z i.e. below S.

Played a bit, Game seems ok, the gameplay is nothing special, but so far, it does its job.

It's all about the story for me in games like this and well, we shall wait and see Smile

It does make me wish for a proper Kotor game, tho.

My first "solution" was also rebinding dodge to M4, but it's still awkward as hell. I think I'll rebind it to space and use M4 for jump. :/

I bound dodge to Left Alt. Very Happy

shift - sprint
WASD - movement
Left Alt - dodge
space -jump

But I might switch dodge and jump (space,LAlt), I dunno.

Using CTRL for dodge. BUT, I could use a key dedicated to the roll, as double tapping is really not ideal...

I use LALT for toggle walk in all my games. Since there is no toggle walk here, as these dumbos didn't inlcude it for M&Kb, might play around with LALT also.

Fuck this shit.

I told myself to git gud. Practiced on wildlife on Dathomir, killed that big ass monster from the beginning of the level 50 times just for developing muscle memory for controls.

Meanwhile got some extra XP and skills.

Dualwield isn't really there properly Evil or Very Mad was pretty disappointed as I dislike the single handed saber anims in this one
Especially after surge 2, spamming 3 anims gets old very fast

Not surprising since you find it by accident, at least I did.

Take ~40% of megafrog's hp with the jump from the top, through one of the holes. The only problem I had was the red rush attack when you are too close to dodge it. It's where the slow comes in handy. Regular attacks are easily blocked.

Mind you this is on GM diff, below should be much much easier.

Killed that frog boss after 4-5 tries.

Drop attack + fighting it at the entrance.

If the devs trolled me with fucked up console controls, low FOV and broken camera, well... I fucked the game back by cheesing it...

I just wish they had put some stats customization for lightsaber parts, making hunting for parts actually rewarding... Such a waste of potential Sad

I'm on the minority here as it seems: disliked it. Great set pieces, awesome gfx, detail, sound... you name it. But after 1h30min it felt like a drag. Uninstalled!

You are not in the minority, im still gonna finish it, but later on the puzzles and platforming really got to me, and its kinda boring at points, its not a souls game, its not uncharted or tomb raider, its like a best of hits of all those games, it doesnt serve the game to well imo, and it doesnt rly have an identity of its own.

But man some of those puzzles are ludicrous, i dunno why they felt the need to go full tomb raider on some parts of this game, it kinda ruins the little action flow its got going, makes sense though, this was suposed to be some other game, but EA wanted it to be a SW themed game aparently, and i think it shows it doesnt fit, these games can either be some Mass effect rpg like, or some beatemup like DMC or Force unleashed, not a mishmash of every game on the face of the earth.

But i will finish it, the story is good, dialogs are well done, models and graphics are pretty awesome, the whole SW aspect and vibe is rly good, combat can be fun at times, but the platforming and puzzles kill it for me completely at times. And i must add im someone that played old Tomb raider games and new ones, i love uncharted too and all the games they tried to cram into this game, it just doesnt work for me too well unfortunatly.

If they make another one they should make it like ME 1 and 2 and have a bounty hunter /mandalorian on it, make it a shooter/Rpg like.

One of the bigger problems with the gameplay is the fact that exploration is not rewarding, at all. There's no incentive to explore because you don't get anything out of it. Ironically, the gameplay is focused on exploration. I'm not sure what they were thinking when they thought that color variation for the same four items will keep players interested to explore past the first few hours.

I agree fully here. What's the point of new "parts"? Do they actually do anything or are they just useless "skins"? Then there's no point. Since they added the mechanics into the game I think they planned on adding proper customizable parts but it was cut for whatever reason while leaving the mechanics in there if only to add choice and another hour to the game play.

I totaly forgot about that bit, ye its pointless, especialy when they openely force you to backtrack every single lvl every dam time, i dont want to backtrack like that to open some doors to get some lighsaber color you cant even see in game because the model for it is THAT small..

Force unleashed had so many outfits that werent color pallets of a thousand ponchos..

Nah...not impressed at all here.

Game got so hyped on various sites like german Gamestar, but they lack any objectivity for some time now when it comes to big AAA titles...I guess they are in dire straits anyway and need the money from EA and others...ads and stuff.

They could condemn FUT-coins in FIFA for example..but hey...they even published some article trying to tell us how GREAT that system actually is. And so much fun. Yet every time I go to the supermarket there is some poor kid in front of me at the queue shelling out 25 or 50 bucks for those 'gift-cards'... Wink

So...the whole game is like having to fight 2-3-4 enemies at once, then I reach a checkpoint, and the same stuff starts again...after I went through some Tomb-Raider-style climbing activity and some dumb puzzles?

Zeffo done...not sure I am coming back to this one anytime soon.

Score of 90 at Gamestar? Really?! They surely must feel the pressure from all the youtubers and influencers out there doing their job without the big scenery causing costs.

So glad I didn't shell out 60 bucks for this one...meh. Anybody finding the story even remotely interesting? Hell, even TFU I+II were superb games compared to this game...^^

Damn, even the surge 2 nailed that... Well then, between these two I know where I'll be spending my money

The Surge 2 is a different kind of beast. It's a much more focused game in what it tries to achieve. Fallen Order is all over the place.

All the ponchos I found so far are all bland and boring. I just keep the default skin on, at least there are some details on that instead of just being a monochrome tarp.

What exactly is there to explore in the game? It's pretty linear with some random platforms you need some kind of power for, which you can just skip (like I do mostly). I found most of the chests and echos, I never hunted for them. There were a couple of hard to reach places, all of those had essences for upgrade.

Exploring is not rewarding, you get stupid skin for lightsaber, and why i can not choose red color for lightsaber? Orange color is for premium, i don't want orange color, someone EA has fetish for orange color, stupid fuck.

The only semi-worthwhile thing would be lightsaber colours, because it changes how your saber sound like when activating/deactivating it... So far I've just got the blue and green tho.
