Shit I can't download the pakchunk2 file because I can`t enter zippyshare for the life of me. Is blocked or shit.
Going to download the fucking entire codex release again... or anyone have another no zippyshare link?
Yes, simply because it has SIMILAR control with Fallen Order, but at the same time borrows a bit from 'old school' mechanics.
It was the... lesser evil.
From the combat's perspective, I don't think TW3 is the lesser evil. Jedi Fallen Order follows a better model, Souls-like. The combat is more functional. The game just has plenty of technical issues and lacks basic PC features like an FOV slider which take their toll on the gameplay.
I disagree, but, at the same time, I don't consider the combat in Witcher 3 vastly superior. Maybe we should leave it at that, since subjectivity is a major factor in this dialogue.
You prefer the souls-like combat, I would love a refreshed Jedi Knight mechanic here.
I agree with the FOV, though. It's another console abomination mark that plagues too many PC games nowadays. But, luckily, in this case, it's easily changed via console.
I'm seriously not feeling the game. I dislike every character the game introduced (except the little cute droid) especially the main character. I don't like combat, i'm really not feeling the Uncharted gameplay (i liked Uncharted)....
Then i've read the story is very meh and that there are only 4 force powers... yeah not for me. Kinda surprised at the reviews its getting. Seems like an extremely generic and mediocre game.
Good game, not perfect, but no game is. Compared to most games that come out, this is a good one. Fairly immersive, really nice visuals and decent gameplay.
The giant frog in the second area is raping me.. stupid melee combat
"Parry strong enemies to stagger them" . Fuck off. I don't play these games to parry.
Uninstalled.
PS Controls kinda feel unresponsive as if there was a small delay between pressing a keyboard /mouse and the character actually doing something.
Like someone said you can cheese the frog for half health jumping over it a bit later in game. Also you can cheese it at the entrance of the cave as it never comes out of it. I used that tactic because i was determined to kill it before getting any upgrades or even healing

IMO game is a lot more easier than DS. Maybe its unfair only on highest diff, but that is pretty much AI cheating. Penultimate one is perfect. Since i got 3+ health stim packs and two life upgrades i don't remember the last time i died in battle.
The planet with Nightbrothers is not recommended before you get at least push and even then you can only explore like 20%, because you get to a point where you require the upgraded jump to proceed. (And you get that late in game story)

I don't think you should necessarily look at the highest difficulties as AI cheating. On the lower difficulty levels the combat allows plenty of mistakes. You don't get hit for much and the window to parry is quite wide. The higher difficulty levels on the other hand don't allow for as many mistakes, which makes them reminiscent of Souls overall difficulty. The problem with Jedi Fallen Order is the encounters design. The game doesn't have that spark of genius that made Souls' boss fights so famous.
I think Respawn has a good approach to difficulty by allowing both casual and hardcore gamers to enjoy Jedi Fallen Order the way they desire. The devs just need to put more effort into the encounters and the technical aspects in case of a sequel.
My problem is the aggressive part for some enemies. Don't mind, the parry timing and damage increase. I actually haven't tested highest, but penultimate one is half bar aggressive and some enemies are really aggressive, can't imagine what it will be on highest where there are supposed to be as twice as aggressive.

So megafrog in cave killed me and I alt+F4'ed out. But my beef with this game is it's derpsole DNA. There are some annoyances and it sure isn't Jedi Knight but it's much better than the Force Unleashed crap.
My biggest problem is that jump and dodge are separate buttons. All other soulslikes use the same button for both, and it's very distracting that this one doesn't.
