Questionable? I mean, I can understand slightly bad translation, but it's literally as if the actors were told to read the scripts without any real undestanding of what emotions the characters were supposed to convey. It's how an AI would sound if it was told to read something... I might just use Japanese voice... probably sounds better

Quicktime events have always been fucking rancid, and Shenmue is the poster child for that. There was plenty of other issues with it as well. There are plenty of people that enjoyed the games for what they were, but still didn't want a repeat in a modern sequel. But if you did an backed it, you got what you wanted it would seem.

It depends how and when they are used. If you expect it (minigames whatever) its perfectly fine. The cancerous kind are the ones that suddenly appear during a cutscene, Resident Evil 5 is one of the worst examples here.
Err... you mean that people did not flock to Epic store to buy this pup?!!
You are talking about EGS sales, but these are not EGS numbers you are quoting.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
As a big fan of Shenmue 1 and 2, I started playing 3 in November and am still not done.
While the first 2 were amazing games and among the forefathers of open world design, including some of the highest attention to detail of their time, the 3rd one is just really fucking tough to swallow. Whenever I come back to it, I feel like the stupid wife returning to her violent husband for the xth beating, I always say never again, but I keep coming back because I just can't leave something incomplete
I'm still debating whether I should get this or not after the whole Kickstarter/Epic exclusivity fiasco.
I'm a huge fan of the Shenmue series, but the game was releasing on Steam the same date as Cyberpunk originally was, so I was already not gonna play it at release date, but with the delay I might go for it, depending on the price (and discount) of course.
