A specific rain scene in the show tells me it targets the comic book readers.   |

Show clearly follows the comic story line.

So far, not a fan of the show. Too on the nose with the "sOcIaL IsSuEs". The comic was written in a time where the political satire and the topical black humor was very apt for its time. Here, the issue of race is brought to the forefront, but despite what the twittertards are spewing on twatter, there really isn't a race war going on.  There are racist morons, some even on this forum, but they are outliners, they are mocked and are cast aside. I don't see how the Watchmen world, as left by the end of the comics, would lead this this version of the world. So it doesn't fit the comics and doesn't fit this world.

Review bombed. Watchmen, after 1 episode, has more user ratings than Leftovers has received for its entire first season - The Leftovers being a show whose every episode of the first season had double+ the amount of viewership episode 1 of Watchmen got.

Wow, great 2nd episode! Much better than the first and full of Watchmen references. I even liked the music a lot this time.

My only experience with Watchmen is the great movie, this is not at all what I expected based on that movie. I've watched only the first ep and I liked it, but it's a bit weird since I don't quite understand how they got from the end of the movie to this. I assume things will be more clear as it progresses.

Episode 2 & 3 explain a lot, and feature a myriad of references and even some characters from the original story. They are much better episodes than the first one.

Consolitis posted what happened between comic book and the tv series on previous page.
From my POV on this show, it's too weird sciency. The comic book was pretty grounded excluding Dr. Manhattan and Veigdt Squid.
